Arrival Story:
Daisy was a pup I spied in the Mall pet store. I had been looking for another pet as my dalmation had to be put down a few months earlier. Daisy had a cute face and a keen interest in people. She had a bad habit of chewing my shoes when I first looked at her but each week I came back she was still there and I kept being drawn back to her. After six weeks, I finally decided she would be the one to join the family.

Bio:
Daisy joined her housemate Belle and quickly jockeyed for position as alpha dog. She bullys our sheltie and we constantly have to correct her for this. We also have a cat that she is buddies with and they often play together. Daisy likes rough housing with mom. She is basically attached to mom. She taunts dad by not obeying him and tries to play race around games when he tries to let her outside. She won't walk well on the leash with Dad either so mom has to take the leash and she calms right down nearly to the point of being able to walk off leash. Daisy is very protective of her territory especially mom but is quite a socialite. She walks right up to people as if they are her best friends. Her personality however is likened most to the Tazmanian devil as she is strong willed and feels when she is ready then she will come or if she feels like listening she will obey. Daisy would make a great assistance dog. She thinks she is helping me get up out of a chair or kneeling position by allowing me to wrap my arm around her back and lightly pressing on her as I help myself up. I also trained her to help me upstairs by placing my hand on her back and she leads me to the top and then I ask her to show me to the bed and she leads me there. She is highly intelligent and easily trained. Just stubborn at times. She is also a very good watchdog.

Wow! I've been having a great week! Mom took me to the groomers and they got all my yucky undercoat out for the summer. Man, I feel wonderful!!! Mom likes it too as I'm not blowing out all over the house and it is easier to brush me.

I get to go to the doggie dentist in a couple weeks to have a good cleaning. I'm a little nervous about this but mom's going to love my pearly whites and fresh breath!

My sister Belle is getting the works also. We'll both be two cool girls ready for summer fun.

The Golden Arches

This past Tuesday, mom had to go into town to the drugstore and the grocery store. As soon as we got into town I could sense she might treat me to some goodies. I started whining and wimpering like a little toddler. I was getting on mom's nerves but she was doing a good job at being as patient with me as possible. I was good in the car while she shopped and I stayed in the back seat. Mom was really pleased when she returned. I kept hearing her tell me we might stop at the Golden Arches and she kept her word.

Oh my I could smell the burgers cooking the moment we pulled into the drive thru lane. Then mom said the magic words "I'll take a plain burger and small french fries" I went into supersonice hyper mode and did my favorite excitement dance in the back seat. I couldn't contain myself. It was taking forever and I was so antsy.

Then there it came through the window. Mom opened it up and sat it on the back seat. Surprisingly I waited till she told me I could eat it. Then I savored every last morsel. The fries were equally good.

what I didn't know was mom also picked up some vanilla ice cream. My sister Belle and I had a small scoop later. Mom sure treated us great that day! I love going places with her.
