Arrival Story:
UPDATE 3-6-08: Recently a small puppy wandered up to the house. He was adorable, maybe 8 wks old, red merle, 1 blue eye & 1 green eye. Because I'm a sucker for small fuzzy animals, I couldn't leave the little guy where I found him (on my back porch) so I brought him in the house, bathed him & fed him. Well, the only thing that seemed wrong w/ him was that he had a gimpy leg, no hair loss, no skin sores, no scratching... see where I'm going w/ this? Well, yestarday we had to take Sierra to the vet because that "adorable, little puppy" apparently had sarcoptic mange. The puppy's been gone from the house for 2 weeks now, all that could be washed has been washed, my hubby & I have had to go to the E.R. because we were itching so bad (scabies past from the dog to us). Now that he & I are better, Sierra's got it. So she had her 1st treatment yestarday. I was afraid we'd have to do that dip thing once a week for 6 weeks. It's soooo easy. It's a little tube that's like Frontline Plus. It's called Revolution & it is awesome! It treats & prevents Sarcoptic mange, prevents fleas, ticks, & HEARTWORM! Isn't that cool? You pop the top of the little tube & put it between the shoulder blades until it's all gone! A box of 3 is enough to treat... 1 every 3 weeks for 9 weeks (3 treatments). The vet said that in about 3 weeks, when it's time for the 2nd treatment, she won't itch, it'll be healing, the fur will be growing back, & the best part is that it won't be contagious anymore! WooHoo! Just thought I'd tell ya'll what's going on! UPDATE 8-26-07: Sierra's been found, alive, healthy, but a little shaken up! Someone apparently saw her, picked her up, then either dumped her in town (5 miles away) or she escaped. Luckily for both of us, a friend of mine from school had seen her and she had actually jumped into his car. He was afraid that she had escaped from a local yard, so he let her go. Tonight, as I was posting missing messages across the web, I thought about a friend who's mother lives near where we live, so I asked her to ask her mom if she had seen her. That's when I learned about our friend finding her. Well, we set up a search party at 1am CST and friends of mine and my husband's (who happen to be members of the local PD) told us that they had seen her on the west dock of our local lake. Somehow she traveled over 7 miles in just 36 hours! THANK GOD FOR SMALL FAVORS, SMALL TOWNS, AND LARGE MIRACLES! Ce-Ce Pup... Mommy, Daddy, Rocky, and everyone else are SOOOOO glad you're home safe and sound! UPDATE 8-24-07: Sierra's disappeared. It's not like her to wander off. We miss you Ce-Ce. COME HOME! I had remembered having a cocker spaniel when I was a child, and knew that at some point I wanted another one. So for my birthday, my husband decided that's what I was gonna get. So we looked in our local newspaper and found a breeder that was near where we lived. I called her and set up a time for us to come by after I got off work. We went, not expecting to come home with a new puppy, but just to look at our options. When we got to the breeder's house, she and her husband brought out all of the puppies. He tried to convince us to take a solid black female that was sort of shy.... I fell in love with a little squirmy black and white female that waddled right to me and started chewing on my shoelaces... and the rest is history!

Sierra is the smartest, most affectionate dog we've ever owned. She aims to please!!!

This is Sierra's 2nd page, technically. Working on getting all 3 of her pages onto one account. I would like to apologize to all of Sierra's pup pals that are on her 3rd page... but the confusion of two Sierra's to upkeep is driving me nuts... ESPECIALLY since I have dial up... AAAHHHHHH. 1st of all I want to thank all of you who wished me a Happy Woofday. XOXOXOXOXO to all of ya'll!

2nd I want to say, I'm SOOOOO mad at my Mommy! She took me to that place on my birthday! 1 guess what that place is! Yep, you guessed it! The vet! How nasty of a birthday to have to have a thermometer stuck up my butt (I had a fever cause of these stupid itchies), had to have a skin scrape (he scraped my skin with a razor. OUCH!), had to have a large pointy thing stuck in my chest (I'm heartworm negative), then to top it all off, all the puppies at the vet that wanted to wish me a Happy Woofday couldn't because my Mommy kept pulling me back from them. They said I have something called "Sarcoptic Mange." It's all Mommy's fault. I told her not to bring that ugly little furball in the house! I told her he was DIFFERENT! Why doesn't she ever listen to me! I know what I'm talking about here! Oh well, I think after she had to go to the people vet she learned her lesson. Only get doggies from good places, not strays!

Oh well, a few good things came out of it. I got to eat chicken strips & french fries. I know it's not good for me, but it's a treat that doesn't happen too often, & after such a bad birthday, I DESERVED IT! :)

Well, bark at ya'll later,

Well, it's been a very eventful 2 days.
1st of all... I got lost when grandpa put me outside. My mommy always does and then lets me back inside when I'm done with my business.
2nd... Mommy thinks that someone picked me up and then dumped me 5 miles away from my home. The truth is, I just needed a break from my bro, Rocky. Those nice people knew where I wanted to go and then let me off when I asked!
3rd... I got to see Konawa Lake. That's the biggest pond I've ever seen. No ducks or geese to chase though so it was kind of a drag!
4th... I got to meet a new guy named, Jeremy. He even let me ride in his car when I hopped in.
5th... I got chased by the police because I was out past curfew, whatever that means!
6th... Another nice police man picked me up and carried me back to my Mommy. I was soooo glad to see her. That vacation was just a little too stressful. I think I'll let Rocky get taken next time so I can stay home and relax!
Oh... Mommy wanted to tell you, "Sierra didn't stop whimpering all the way home because she was sooo excited to see me. I've never heard her so vocal before!"
She just thinks that I was whimpering because I was excited! BOL I was whimpering because I had to go home and put up with Rocky, Sweetie, and Grandpa again! That's enough to make any pup whine! BOL
Okay, I just wanted to tell you about my weekend and also to tell ya'll that I'm okay. Back and lively as ever. Bark at ya'll later!

I know I haven't written in a while... A LONG WHILE! I've added a lot of siblings since the last time. Mom and Dad still have the two rats. Let me tell you about all of them, including the rats!!!

1) 2 rats... Sweetie and Tiny
2) 1 green anole lizard... Gecko
3) 1 doberman pinscher... Rocky
4) 1 black and white kitten... Miracle (Had Sylas, too, but mean ol' Rocky got him.)
5) 1 snapping turtle... Monster
6) 1 jack russell terrier... Sweetie (She's not really my sibling, but she might as well be. She's grandpa's dog and she stays with us! It gets confusing with two Sweetie's in the house!)
7) 2 cats... Kady & Masyn (Both of which are grandpa's, too! He just doesn't have time for them right now so they're staying with us, too!)

It's extremely crowded around here! I don't know how to react to another female in the house, so there's a power-struggle between Sweetie and me. I don't like her trying to steal my mom's attention! AND although I don't mind sharing my food dish with her, I don't want to share my chewies.

Mom says that having Sweetie around is good for me, though. I've learned to be patient with her. I even share my bed with her now, which is a big change from when she first came.

The cats I don't mind so much, they keep me warm! The lizard doesn't do much! The rats can't come out to play since Sweetie tries to eat them! Mom says I better stay away from the turtle because he might bite a chunk outta my ear! And ROCKY.... grrrrr I love my BIG little fur-bro, but he drives me bonkers!

Well, I guess that's all for now. Bark at ya'll later!
