Hi, have I a story for you. Last week my humans were setting off firecrackers! They didn't know they scared me, well one of our gates had come open, so I RAN! I tried to cross a road and this guy almost hit me, but I went in between the wheels. He thought he had hit me, so he jumped out to look under the car. After I was done having a heart attack I came out the otherside. He picked me up, took me home, and gave me something good to eat. He said he noticed that I liked sitting in people's laps (which is very true). Then he took me to this place called PETCO (its a really wonderful place) and bought me some things. I stayed the night with him, and in the morning he tried to find my owners. My owners hadn't got me new tags yet, but I was still wearing my old tags from the adoption center. The guy called Diamond Dachshund Rescue, where i was adopted (thats a neat place too, the people there are nice) and they told him who had adopted me. They had some of their volunteers that lived in the Austin area pick me up from the guy and brought me home. I was excited to see my brother Jethro and my owners Ahbvee and Bekah, who had missed me very much. I sure can get myself in a dogpile of trouble, but it all turned out alright.

Lots of slobbery kisses,
Ellie Mae
