Arrival Story:
Just divorced after 20 years; took a stroll on Sunday by the harbor; doggie adoptions was being held; she was in a cage, asked if I could hold her and they replied "she won't let you, she is too afraid". I sat down by her cage, talked to her, opened the door, and she crawled into my arms. We had to be interviewed and reinterviewed, but we finally became a family and are living happily ever after.

Bio:
She was one of two - her brother was hit by a car, and after that, the "man" of the house did not want her. He put Sadie in the backyard with his two Rotts, and she got pregnant. Of course, she had surgery because to give birth would have killed her. Vet tech convinced the "man" to give her to the humane society.
