AMAZING NEWS, MY FELLOW WAGGERS!


Sadly, a little over a month ago, my favorite toy in the world was put to rest. Boney Laroney, my most precious and prized toy, was destroyed.

I suckled boney laroney every night. It was a soft, stuffed toy, and I had it for years. I loved to snuggle with him and I couldn't really sleep without him. If momma or Luke didn't take him down from the shelf, I'd stare up at him until he was taken down for me. *sigh* I miss that guy.
Anyway, a month ago Tucker and Bpui came downstairs before momma or my Luke did, and they took him away from me. Before I knew what was happening, boney was in the clutches of rough play! All of his stuffing was all over the floor. I was so sad!

BUT, THE GOOD NEWS IS.....


Momma went on a trip for work and came home with snuggle buddy! Snuggle buddy is just as soft and squishy as boney was. He isn't a replacement for boney- he could never be replaced. That being said, snuggle buddy sure is great! I sleep with him and snuggle with him. I carry him around with me everywhere, and just like she did with boney, momma takes good care of snuggle buddy. He gets put up on the shelf when kookie Tuck and Boo come into the room. Snuggle buddy is my new special pal!

Gotta go. There's snuggling to be done!

November 6th, 2006 Times Are Tough...

I am itchy.

Every time the seasons change, and the temperature drops...or rises...I get megarash all over my belly, legs, dogpits and (gulp) undercarrige. It is awfully painful and uncomfortable to boot. It stinks out loud!

Mom gets all bent out of shape because I throw out my back legs like a frog and proceed to drag my belly across the carpet. It makes my itchies worse, but, thing is, it is the ONLY thing that makes me feel better! Ugh!

Anyway, I am headed to the vet today for my rabies vac, and hopefully they might be able to give me something for this monstrosity of a skin defect. Mom wishes she could coat me in some type of ointment and wrap me in plastic wrap. No dice. I'll pull an "angry squirrel" on her if she tries. Ha!

I spoke too soon, friends. Come to find out, not only is my human lady NOT going to be gone for that long this summer, but Tucker is staying home with me and dad! UGH! Oh, the frustration you can't even believe...

FURTHERMORE,

There has been nonstop tittering about-gulp-a sister?!?! Lordy, please, what is this about? A young yellow fuzzball- a MUTT mind you, will be added to my world this July. Some coming attraction. I'm keeping my paws crossed that she and that biscuit-brain Tucker will get along fetchingly and I will be, bless the day, left alone again....


Perhaps if I'm slightly disobedient those humans will reconsider and think better of it. That new couch looks enticing....

April 28th, 2006 Summer Plans

Most exciting news, friends-

I just found out that my "against-my-will-and-not-officially-brother" will be away for a good portion of the summer. I don't think I've heard such good news since my human told me he was switching me to Wellness and my hives disappeared. No, really, this is absolute heaven.

I will be able to sleep with my bone without it being stolen.

I will be able to relieve myself without Tucker jumping on me.

I shall run free without being pounced on.

And, in general, I will not have to be on the defensive.

Lord, bless whoever gave my lady human that travel job!

April 16th, 2006 World, Meet Sherman

Hi there-

I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Sherman, also known as Shermie. You should know that I am quite dignified, and I tend to gravitate towards humans. Some dogs are ok, but I find most of them to be rather dopey and a nuisance. They way they drool, bounce, run and carry on? PUH-LEEZ! It is so embarassing. I like to lay around and enjoy resting.
Mom has been forcing me to go on walks these days, as the weather is getting nicer round these parts. Don't tell her that I told you this, but I am actually warming up to our hikes. That pesky beast Tucker has been leaving me be while we go- he bombs around off the path and gets into all sorts of things while I, I stay on the trail with mom. I take the time to sniff here and there while Tucker risks being latched onto by a nasty tick. Blucgh! Can you imagine? He is soooo basic.
I must go nap now, but I thought I'd put myself out there so you know there is hope for dogs. We don't all drool incessantly and wag non-stop. Some of us just rise above.
