Arrival Story:
fHe was to replace the Scottie that past, so that the schnauzer was no longer lonely. At the breeders, it was just Macleod and a brother. Macleod had his big ears up already and we thought that was too cute. His brother was cut e too. (a week later we tried to get him but he wa gone.) Came home and became king of the house hold. It was kindof a spur of the moment thing. Nala was drivin g us nuts since Bonnie died. SHe was jsut to lonely. The day we got Macleod, We had to buy a crate, food and of coureseee many toys. He has to be king. At first we did not want a male. 'All our previous dogs were female. YEt Nala really needed someone. Mom only would allow a Scottie so we looked. Macleod's breeders were the only ones who had a litter. So we went there.

Very friendly to people once he has sniffed the face. Plays fetch with anything. Thinks he is king. has to sneak on to the couch and lay on all of the pillows. No matter how you yell, tap nudge or push him he is always in bed with us. He has to be touching us when he sleeps. For a Scottie he is affectionate. He is always under foot. We have stepped on him many times not realizing he was there. When someone new comes to the house, he is so bad. Bark bark bark. That is until he jumps on their lap and sniffs their face. After that he usually will love them. He hates other dogs. Mainly the ones that are his size or larger. I had taken him to Petsmart for training and a Boxer smacked him. Ever since that he hates other dogs. He lets me dress him up for halloween. He is a big chicken. As a puppy, when a big dandelion blew in the wind near him, he went running in the other direction. Even now, if any unknown noise or bang happens he runs. The only time he is brave is when he tries to attack other dogs. The one big dog he likes is Darby. He use to love Darby, but now just tolerates her. She is a friendly Irish Wolfhound. Darby comes to visit us sometimes and Macleod is fine with her. He is very treat motivated. He's learned to sit, lay, give both paws alternatly, dead dog, spin, roll over, fetch, plays the piano and speak. Even locked out of the room while I try to teach another dog those tricks, like speak, he'll do the commands. Macleod always hates having his hair or nails cut. He runs and hides. On November 19, 2013 we had to put Macleod to sleep. He went into kidney failure and started to become very sick. We didn't want to have him suffer. He was a champ to the end. He still tried to make it to the tile to have an accident cause he knew not to go on the rug.

Tremont Dog Park

Well today was the first day I went to the Tremont dog park. It had been raining all day todya and i needed excercise my mom said. So she packed up the family, even dragged along her mom to help. Nala and the others had gone yesterday, but they were not sure how i would behave. Last year they tried me at the lakewood dog park and i was so bad.
Today, i was at first kept on a leash. A greyhound boy came running up to me and i was so good. I did not growl at him at all. Then a man threw a ball and I barked and growled at him. So mom took me to the other men so i could sniff them. I was then able to see the other dogs. Then others came too and took me off my leash. BUt I stayed by mom. When other dogs were running around me, i tried to run after them and bite. Then when mom was on the bench, Chloe was playing with a ball and gave it to mom. Then I lunged for her. I did not bite but opened my mouth alittle. My parents were proud off me. They then gave me some ice cream as an award. They think i behaved because i was tired of being left home alone.

Macleod, you are my king. You rule me and my heart. I love how cute and funny you are. From the way you are scarred over everything to the way you act big and macho at strangers and big dogs. You lay down next to me with a big thump and huff of pleasue being next to me. I know you love me by the way you are always next to me. You are my baby boy,yet you are my little black bastard.

This is a special Tail of Devotion

Today I swa a mouse. I had no idea what this little brown thing running toward s me was. So I ran away. It could be dangerous. YOu never know. I ran up the stairs to the deck and barked at it. I continued to bark even when i no longer saw it. That was a close call for me and the mouse.
