Arrival Story:
I adopted Gracie through IGCA Rescue a little over four years ago. She had been used as a brood bitch for a puppy mill and spent her first six years living in a metal cage outdoors, having litters of puppies. She hadn't been properly socialized and didn't know how to act around people or other dogs. It's taken a lot of work to get her to where she is today, but it's definitely been worth it. She's blossomed into the best dog I've ever had: funny, clever, mischevous, affectionate, cuddly, and a joy to have around. She's my baby girl, and I love her to death!!

Gracie is a Seizure Alert Dog, which means that she can let me know before I have a seizure so that I can get into a safe place while it hits, and she will also stand guard over me while I am having a seizure...she might be small, but she's very protective!

Forums Motto:
"I'm always on duty and on the alert!"
