Well here I am... reminiscing over the past year and realizing just how great life really is. I managed to find myself a very nice boy and girl to live with... they have been very generous and are quite likeable overall. Boy still insists that I am not welcome in their bed however he is quite apt to climb into mine (I have yet to determine how to manage this issue). Girl has been known to sneak me into their bed when boy is away but I am afraid one day he will discover our little secret. :( Boy takes me on long runs by the ocean and recently, I have taught him how to throw a frizbee so it can actually be caught! Girl is a sucker for cuddles and lets me spend hours on her lap however my favourite part is actually the neck scratch she provides right on cue.

I have a wonderful dog-sitter named Corinne. She somes every day to let me out for some sunshine and comic relief. I look forward to her friendly smile and tasty treats!

I have made a very dear friend this past year - his name is 'Pound' and people often think we are brother and sister as we share the same colouring and are of course both whippets. Pound has taught me many fun tricks: how to dig for worms and then roll in the yummy scent, how to chase a ball and how to get the most out of our people. He is a wonderful companion and perhaps my true love (please check out his handsome mug on my Dogster webpage). We are currently in the process of making plans to run away together... but we still haven't figured out who will bring our comfy beds along for us.

Today is my first birthday! Girl says she is treating herself to a pedicure in my honour and Boy has gone off to work as usual. (I have heard whisperings however and I'm sure that there is a surprise brewing.) I think I will take a bath (Pound's boy and girl gave me some wonderful Lavender & mint shampoo) and clean my ears so I am ready for any big events in the works!

Until next time,

Zoe
