His easy chair. Being close to his human. Balls. Stuffed Raccoon. Camping. Riding in the car.
Doesn't like it when his human runs out of throwing the ball energy. Toy hoarder. He wants clean arms & will wash them after he eats.
Balls, Clementine, Darby, his stuffed raccoon.
apples, biscuits, bananas, bread
Mountains, coast, anywhere really
sit, stay, down, shake, talk
As a pup, my little guy became very sick with Parvo. He survived, but of the litter, he was the last one adopted. The others had been chosen and taken to their forever homes, but it seemed no one wanted Tucker. He was thin and smaller than his littermates, a result of the Parvo. But God saved the best for last, and kept him in waiting for me!!!!! He is a trooper, with a sweet heart!
He is Clancy's younger blood brother. He is gentle, tender, loving, understanding, thoughtful, young at heart, playful, a blessing. He loves to go camping!!! He is a sure-fire car riding addict. He loves to go out with his humans and visit his cousin, Bear, a Black Lab. At night he loves to put his head down on a pillow next to mine, stretch his arms out and touch me or hug me, all the while staring lovingly at me. Sometimes he tucks his head up against mine and sleeps like a babe. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. I believe he knows he is lucky to be alive and life is a happy place to be for him.

his glorious tawny coat is the silk of spun gold
the warmth of his fur is morning's first light
the sheen on his flank is that of polished amber
it's all just part of what makes him, oh so right
what courses through his veins are liquid sun drops
for his heart's a pulsing light pumping golden love
his eyes, soulful, are the color of honey in moonlight
and his merry spirit is blessed by the angels above
he is all that is good, unbridled, and set free,
there's magic in his smile and healing in his touch
this gentle being is the sun's light wrapped in fur
he who asks so very little and gives so very much
his expression conveys more than any words spoken
and as mighty as the pen is, it can't fully describe
his unconditional love, loyalty, and utter devotion,
and the gifts of joy to be given, therein that reside
his fidelity dances 'round him on filigree wings
it's that nimbus, aflame, in glowing sunny hues
the fulfillment of all my cherished, wondrous dreams
for now and ever, he's the mate my soul would choose
he is the bright light at each day's end
and the star shine when night time sets in
like no other, he is my very dearest friend
come dawn he's the rising sun and all...
... that's right and GOLDEN

Goldens are like the brightest star, blazing through the darkness of night, and they are like a sun that outshines the day. They burn so intensely, so brightly. And for some, that blaze is for only a short time on this planet. Well, at least they get to spend more time in Heaven if their stay here is not as long as we'd like it to be. In nature there must always be a balance. Perhaps their stay is weighed with the goodness that fills them. It is said one cannot get enough of a good thing--Goldens are that good thing to me.
I think Goldens have the capacity for deep compassion, love, and concern for beings of all types, human and otherwise. I believe it goes beyond human understanding--because what they give comes from a heart that is pure, a spirit that is guileless, and a soul that operates on a level higher than anything close to human.
