I was rescued from a lake near Tyler Texas. I was very thin and looked to have been abandoned and a nice couple took me home. They nursed me back to health and then they decided I was ready to find a new home. My mommy had been looking for a while and was not sure she was even ready. She saw me and the cats say she cried. She used to have a Boston Terrier rescue named Nathan and I guess she was reminded of him when she saw me. I was named Lecter by my rescuers but mommy said I was way too cute to be a cannibal (whatever that is). Since I knew the name Lecter but had such a comical face, she named me Jester because it sounded like Lecter. Mommy says I am the best behaved dog she has ever owned.
