Arrival Story:
Max was a rescued dog his former owner kept him in his crate day and night except for one short walk a day they thought he was to big he would knock the children down so now he lives with us on 2 acres of fenced yard and has the chance to chase birds, squirrels, raccoons, and even barks at the bear when it comes to the bird feeder

Bio:
Well when I came to my new home I weighed in at over 150 lbs and my mom and the family vet said I had to lose weight boy those words did not sound good to me since I do like food any kind please... so to make a long story short that was when I was one year old and now I am 5 years old and weigh 108 lbs. So I guess I would have to say that it was not really all that bad except mom teases me now saying that I look like a bloodhound with all the loose skin. But I have enjoyed having lots more energy so now I can wear out my mom and dad which is really cool. So to all of you big guys out there don't give up hope it will come it just does not happen over night. September 25,2009 Max went to play with all his family that are at the rainbow bridge. We will miss you. Woof Hershey,Milo, Mom, Dad

woof to all my 4 legged buddies,
Mom went on vacation and I got into trouble. I ran off from Dad at the dog park for a little while and when I came back I had an owie on my nose. So when Mom came home she took me to my favorite doctor.
So I got some pills and was feeling really good ahh back to my old yippping self but it did not last long, then I really have had a tough go of things lately.
I have been to the vet's more than home or it seems that way. I know have MMM and OEM, Mom likes to put it into people words and say it is like them having TMJ (jaw problems) I also have an eye that is involved so I am taking lots of medicine which is not bad cause I get treats when I have to take pills ;-)....
But my Mom really looks worried at me sometimes and I feel bad for her cause she feels bad for me, if I could talk I would tell her it will be ok Mom, I am still young remember I am only 5 years old now so I will whip this in no time.
So if any of you young pups out there esp. german sheppards cause they say it happens to them the most. I say hang in there it has to get better.
