BRENDAN PASSED AWAY

My precious Brendan has passed away. September 10th started out fine, we got up, I was a little concerned that he didn't eat his whole meal, when his brother Spacey passed away in March, Brendan did not eat for awhile, he was sad. When he did start to eat, he didn't want dog food, not dry anyway, just canned, and he wouldn't eat a lot of that, now Brendan was 11 years old, and had a few health issues himself, so he was at the point where it was feed him whatever he would eat, which was people meat , so he had been eating that, some canned dog food and taking vitamins all summer, and was doing pretty well, he was very skinny, he had been getting skinny before his brother Spacey died, you could see his ribs, backbone, and hipbones, but he wasn't getting skinnier. I did notice in the few weeks before he had to be put to sleep, though that he was starting to get wobbly when he walked, I was shure it was because of his weight. well, on the morning of september 10th, he din't eat his whole meal, and I had to balance him while he pooped, but that had been happening every now and again , so that didn't concern me too much. We were outside and a t one point he was standing and I noticed his hind legs were slowly crouching down, like he couldn't stand, so I let him inside and that was it, his hind legs gave and he dragged them in, couldn't walk. I knew then it was time to say goodbye to my bsby boy of 11 years. The vet came and it was just horrible, because, by then he was walking again, and acting normally, but I just knew after what I had seen that morning, that it was the right thing to do, to let him go be with his brother Spacey, it wasn';t right to let him go on living that way. When the vet pronounced Brendan deceased, she checked him over, we found a large mass in his belly, which we guessed was probably cancer, I also feel that he was also just depressed and heartbroken over losing his brother Spacey, as I was back in March, too. I am now so terribly sad and lonely, having lost both my boys, my children of 11 years within 7 months of each other. The only comfort I have is knwing that they are together now as they should be.
