Arrival Story:
I finally got my parents to let me have a dog (took only about fourteen years) and standard poodles proven to be so energetic and having the nicest character, it was those I was after. We visited one great breeder and her dogs, unfortunately (we thought back then) the puppies that were expected had pretty many takers already. We heard about a five months old puppy from a relative and friend network - and thought we might have a look. He had been returned to his breeder, because the first buyers had just decided after two weeks that "oh, dog is indeed a lot of work". We went "just to have a look", he was charming and a couple of weeks later Heppu (he had been called Aku, after Donald Duck in Finnish, but we rudely changed his name) moved to live with us.
