She loves agility at K-9 Klub in Metairie, Louisiana. She also loves going to obedience at Deep South All Breed Obedience Training Club
Arrival Story:
Izzy was adopted at 12 weeks old from The Humane Society of Louisiana. I wanted a female lab/border collie mix. Out of about 12 lab/border collie mix puppies there, Izzy was the only female. I was so glad I didn't have to choose because fate brought us together. She could not have been a better fit for our family.
Bio:
Izzy earned her CGC through Deep South All Breed Obedience Training Club. She attended obedience classes weekly, where she was always the class clown. She also started agility training a few weeks before Hurricane Katrina struck. She had cataract surgery at the age of 3 & 1/2 years old. After her recovery, she started agility training at K-9 Klub. She satrted training in Rally with both Deep South and K-9 Klub. On 10/17/10, Izzy earned her 1st A.K.C. Rally Novice leg and won 2nd place!

Hello Everyone! I just stopped by to tell you, all is well with me. My eyes are doing well. I am keeping up with doggie school and Mom says we have a Rally trial coming up. Keep your paws crossed! I'll keep you posted.

I did it! This weekend was my first ever A.K.C. Rally trial. It was in Mandeville, Louisiana. My Mom and I entered as Rally Novice A. Saturday, we didn't even qualify. I told my Mom to keep her chin up and let's give it our best on Sunday. And guess what? I did it! I won second place and got my first Rally Novice leg! Who's the Hot Dog now?
The nice lady who took my picture said she wanted to make sure she got a good shot of me. She said she was going to send it to AKC because I am a mixed. I asked my Mom what mixed meant and she said it meant, "so darn cute!"
Life is good.
