Arrival Story:
She is my miracle! At only three weeks old Little Mama, along with her parents and litter mates were sentenced to death. Little Mama's parents, Soutan and Jaynee were recieving this harsh punishment due to the dreaded "Pit Bull" stigma. Our next door neighbors tried to sell there house with no avail because on such a closely spaced neighborhood no one wanted to move in with dogs, especially two pitbulls, next door. So the neighbor called Dekalb County Animal Control and falsley claimed that both my babies had bitten him. This was impossible because Jaynee was giving birth to Little Mama and her littermates; Fred Wilbur, Tiffany Girl(B.K.A. Little Mama), Midnight Moacha, The Lone Pinky, Sasquatch Grizzly, and the runt, Tilly Mill. Besides the last time I checked dogs could not opens windows and shimmy down gutters from the second floor (especially while I was watching the miracle of birth). Although the puppies were not involved in the "incident" they were facing the same terrible fate as Soutan and Jaynee due to an unfair pit bull hating judge who does understand the breed and how stupid people are the ones teaching these dogs stupid things. After animal control somehow LOST Tilly Mill, a sympathetic kennel worker met me around back late at night with the 5 remaining 3 week old puppies. Suddenly, without Jaynees antibodies to protect them Sasquatch Grizzly and Fred Wilbur developed Parvo. The vet told me to bring ALL the puppies to be humanely euthanized due to the impossible survial rate in young puppies. At the last moment I looked at Little Mama and her brother Pinky playfully jumping around the office and called off Pinky and Little Mama's euthanizing.(Thankfully a very sweet woman adopted Midnight Moacha before the epidemic). And to evryones suprise Pinky and his much smaller sister Little Mama survived with NO symptoms. Pinky was later adopted out to a family where he was killed in a tragic kennel accident. After all these horrible events I could not believe the 2nd smallest puppy survived. I had tried my hardest, even quitting school to nurse these puppies after the death of their mother and 2 months later my special girl was the only one still with me allowing all the hurt to fade and allowing me to have a piece of EVERY one of my babies through her.
