New Treats

Mom and Becca gave us a new treat today. Something we never had before. I think she called it a pig snout. Whatever it was, it was very tasty. As soon as Mom gave it to me, I layed down, put my paws on her foot, and started chewing. I took my time eating mine. I don't scarf my food down like Dottie. Maybe I should because she took it from me twice.

1. I love my mommy!
2. I like to bark at Mom as soon as I see her coming outside to feed us or play with us. (I don't think she likes it when I bark a lot.)
3. I like to lick my humans legs. (Mom really doesn't like this)
4. I also like to sniff everyones butts. Mom says I'm a butt sniffer.
5.I love to go for rides in the truck. Not long rides though.
6. I had puppies almost 2 years ago. Two of them are on Dogster. Their names are Fischer and Comet.
7. Whenever someone gives Dottie and I a treat, I gobble mine down and wait until Dottie comes out of the doghouse to see if she left any for me.

Going for a ride!!

Dad let us out of the kennel yesterday. We ran around our yard and then we went to the neighbors. Dad wasn't happy about that. Then we got to get in the truck. But Dad didn't take us for a ride. I think he was playing a trick on us. Then we figured out that he was waiting for Mom. She got home a few minutes after we got in the truck. Mom went in the house and had the phone when she came back out. She talked and then Dad talked and Dottie and I waited and waited and waited. I thought we were never going to get to go for a ride in the truck. It seemed like we waited forever. After about an hour we finally got our ride. It was so much fun. Sometimes Dad drives around too long and I get bored. I like to go for rides but they don't have to be long rides. I get tired and have to lay down. Dottie seems to enjoy every minute.

The Family Christmas Card!

December 14, 2006 - Mom took Dottie and my picture the other day. Mom and Dad and Becca are in the picture too. We had fun. Before Mom took the picture we got to run around for a while. Dottie scared a little rabbit out of the bush. Dad said it was a good thing she didn't see the rabbit run off or we would have been chasing her for the rest of the day. Mom said the picture was for the Family Christmas photo card. I'm not sure what that is, but I'm glad we got to be part of it.

New Tricks!

October 14, 2006 - Dad taught me a new trick the other day. Now Mom wants me to do it for her too. Dad taught me to speak. I was perfectly happy to let Dottie do the talking as long as I still got some treats too. I guess the more tricks I know, the more treats I get. Yippie!!

Hot and Humid!

May 29, 2006 - It is too hot. I don't like being hot. I have too much hair for these hot and humid days. Mom and Dad have been letting Dottie and me out of the kennel more lately. I love to get out of the kennel. Mom and Dad have been taking us for more rides in the truck too. That is so much fun. I love it when I hold my head out and the wind makes my lips flap around. Today, Mom, Dad, and Becca took us for a ride in the truck. We went in a river. I wasn't sure I would like the water. As soon as I felt the water between my toes I liked it. I went right in and got my belly wet. I would go back in a little shallower water and I would shake water on everyone. Hee! Hee! Hee! When we were gettting ready to leave, I made Dad pick me up to get me back in the truck. I just acted like I couldn't get in.

I'm confused!!

April 17, 2006 - I'm kind of confused. Mom and Dad don't lilke it when we dig holes in the yard or under the kennel, but it is okay if they dig all the way around the kennel. I don't get it. It was fun. Mom and Dad were outside with us all afternoon. They left for a little while and when they came back, they dug all the way around the kennel and then they moved it. Mom and my human sister, Becca, left for a little while. While they were gone, Mom's parents came over and helped dig. That's not fair! Everyone is allowed to dig except Dottie and me. When Mom and Becca got back, they had a treat for us. Pig ears. Yummy! It was delicious!! I hope we get more pig ears. I ate mine right away. It was gone in about 10 seconds. Dottie took her time eating hers. Mom let me out of the kennel and I got to run around the yard. I got some love from Mom, Becca, Grandma, and Grandpa. And I got a belly rub from the little girl that lives next door. I think her name is Megan. She's nice.

Bailey's escape

April 15, 2006 - Mom said I was a bad girl. Dottie and I dug under the kennel and went for a night-time adventure last night. I don't like it when Mom says that about me. It makes me sad. At least I only left the yard once. My sister, Dottie, left the yard 3 times before I decided to go with her. IT WAS FUN!! We found some really wonderfull smells. We were barking at some furry little animal early the next morning. I could hear Mom calling us, but we were having too much fun. Then she left for work a few minutes later.
