My Heaven

A new day

Every night I sleep with my Hu-mom. I love her and she loves me. I sleep on my very own pillow next to her pillow. Before she goes to sleep at night, mom sits in bed and reads. While she is reading, she rubs my belly. Ahhh.....heaven! She tries to do the same thing each morning too, a few minutes of rub on work days before she dashes off to feed my adopted brother, Mickey, and sisters, Nukka and Daisy. Then she gets us all out and takes care of her goats, chickens and horses. I love to watch the chickens. I even have caught them when Mom isn't watching! I know I am not supposed to go after them, but I am a bird dog and love to stalk them.

I was born deaf, whatever that means. They say I can't hear, but I don't even know what that means! Mom and I communicate by hand signals and head nods. She swears I can read her mind. Yup, I sure can! And her body language! My breeder was going to shoot me when he asked if mom wanted me. She said yes and came and got me. I'm glad. I love her. She takes me everywhere she can. I love to ride in the car. I sit on her lap when she drives. People say I am spoiled. I'm not. I just get what I deserve! LOVE from Mom. She even lets me jump up on her shoulders so I can ride around. I taught her that trick myself. Boy, was she surprised the first time I jumped up into her arms and climbed onto her sholders. I'm glad I don't weigh as much as my brother Mickey or sisters Nukk and Daisy.

When Mom works at the computer, I sleep by her feet. I know the minute she moves and I jump up ready to go with her. I escort her everywhere. I even take a shower with her. She needs me, you know, so I have to be with her all the time.
