Arrival Story:
We weren't really planning on taking in a dog when we went to the Mall, but Paws Chicago was there with all their rescued Katrina dogs. Clover was so quiet, calm and beautiful. I was instantly hooked on her. We were a little nervous, since i grew up with German Shephards and she had Pitt Bull and we weren't sure of her time before the Hurricane, during and after. I think we were more nervous about what others would think of her, since the breed was recently in the news by our area. Infact while we were there, some lady would not let her child go by Clover becuz she was the 'bad dog type' broke my heart and that's when i knew i was ready to be an advacote for the breed. All the volunteers said she was a great dog and loved her. They were all so happy to see her go to a forever home. And she's such a good dog, that it's so easy being an advocate, everyone that meets her instantly loves her and she is so happy to be around people.

Well I sure am a good ole bully breed......Boxer, Pitt and probally some red Doberman. But don't let all that toughness fool you, i'm just a big ole sweetheart and LOVE everyone, big and small. I also think i'm tiny, cuz i'll sit in your lap...all 58lbs of me!

When my mommy and daddy adopted me, mom cried..... and now mom is crying again....

the big C has showed up, Clover has a tumor on her nose, which has now gone into her mouth and lymph node. I don't want to see her become so sick - we got some pain meds for her to help her be more comfortable and Monday we'll be helping her to rainbow bridge.

She has two human sisters now, a 3yr old who LOVES clover so much and a 8 month old who has just begun to laugh when clover walks into the room. Clover is such a sweetie with them and is such a good girl. She will be so missed and she has been the best dog i have ever had the pleasure of loving. So for now, we will enjoy these last few days...... xoxo

Well, summer has come and gone and we've already have gotten a few days full of snow. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Christmas will be here b4 you know it. I just wanted to give a shout out to all the pups who have given me pawsome rossettes- you'll be getting a lil' pawmail soon....i haven't forgotten you and your love hasn't gone unnoticed.

Update one me - i've begun limping and it has progressively gotten worse - i'm slow to get up, sometimes i don't put weight on my back right leg and i have a hard time with the stairs. Mom took me to the vet and it looks like my knee may be going - so we're starting with some injections into the muscle which is suppose to help build up the cartilidge. Mom hopes this will work and i won't have to do another knee surgery. Please keep me in your thoughts that this doesn't get any worse and i won't need surgery.

I know i'm not on much, my typist is offly busy ...but know i think of all my pup pals often and i am so thankful for all your love and rosettes. Thank you for being you!!!

xoxo Clover

Well, my typist has been very busy...hence my quick coming and goings.... anyways, i thought i'd update everypup...

Well, summer is offically ending :( I love being outside and enjoy the wonderful weather we've been having....not extemely hot, not too humid (that is until this week..YUCK) I've been doing really well, playing with my best pal Tela....

I had a growth in my chest that my mom had been watching for awhile, in the last 2-3 months it began to really grow and change shape and looked kinda like a skin since it changed so much, off to the vet i went. I got lots of treats and i hid under mom's legs cuz i thought they were going to cut my nails!!! They didn't, instead they numbed the spot up and i did very well, laying on my back so they cleaned it up really good and cut it off, there wasn't enough to send it, she showed it to me and couldn't tell me that it was 'just' a skin tag, she wasn't positive what it was, and we left with her words of 'watch it and if it grows back, we'll do a biopsy of the whole area (about a golfball size)' Ugh...i'm doing good though, mom says it looks okay, and hasn't noticed any growth back.....

Hope everyone is having a PAWESOME summer and keep on waggn' your tails and lickn'!! Oh and you have got to check out my pal trace who is my boy twin....he even got a pic with his pawesome shades...just like me!!

xoxo Clover
