Daisy Head Maisy is so Crazy

2 years in my new house!

Well everyone, I just went to the vet for my annual shots - this is the 2nd year with my new family. My mom loves me so much . . .she says there are no words to express how much she loves me! and I believe her, too. I was nervous at first - I wasn't sure if they were going to keep me. . . but now I do know they LOVE me! I've really put them through a good two year test - I got stung by a bee and I'm allergic to bees - they rushed me to the ER. and then I slit my leg open on the fence rough housing with the neighbor dog -- and they rushed me to the ER again. and just this week I fell down the stairs and hurt my paw; even though it wasn't a bad injury, my mom couldn't sleep -- so they rushed me again. They have passed the test - I'm sure I'm here to stay! I actually love them too. I love to cuddle with my mom when she watches TV and sleep in my human brother's bed. The vet said I need to lose a few pounds - so my mom gives me green beans and cucumbers for snacks! I tricked her! I really LOVE those snacks! But I did lose 4 pounds. I'm looking great.

They are even talking about getting another beagle.

Just keep swimming..

Mom says the house is too small for another beagle, but my Human sister and I really, really, really, really want another addition to our family! You see, I really want some more friends! I love friends! My neighbor Payton (she's a German Short Haired Pointer) is getting pretty tired of me wanting to play all the time...she looses interest after about 3 minutes. We always have competitions of who can race the fastest, and she only lasts for about 3 laps around the yard...then she gives up so I always howl-bark..you know to motivate her to "just keep going" (like Dory in Finding Nemo)...and she gets too tired and looses interest.

Fingers still crossed that my mom will change her mind!

It's been a year since I was adopted! And I just absolutely- love my new family!

I am the luckiest beagle around - at the pound, I howl-barked and howl-barked for them to pick me. And once they had me out of the kennel and in the yard, I pretended to like them, but I really just wanted out. They did choose me, and I tried not to get attached. The first year, I wanted to be outside all time, digging holes in the yard, and barking up a storm at the neighbor dogs. But, they didn't take me back, and little by little, I started warming up to them . . . and now I LOVE them!!! All of them, my human brother & sister, and my brother Sam and most of all my mom!! She says Sam is her baby but I know I have a special place in her heart! She's always hugging me, and cuddling with me (I didn't like cuddling -but now I do) - they buy me all sorts of toys so I don't have to dig up the yard anymore.

Today was especially fun! I just met my new neighbor, his name is Coco! Pretty soon sister says that she will take me over on a play date! Yes! I can see it already, Coco and I are going to be the best of pals! He's a little shy right now, but pretty soon I'm sure he will get used to Sam and I. Although, Sam sure is a little jealous, he thinks Coco is going to be the new star on the block...but shhhh Coco comes in a close second to my cute brother Sam.

They're talking about maybe adopting another beagle . . . I'll keep you posted.
