Good-bye - We love you!

Good-bye - I love you.

We lost our beautiful girl on June 9th, 2006. She could barely use her back legs, had a nerve conditionand a bladder infection. She was letting us know it was time to say good-bye. It was a truly sad and painful day for us but we put on a brave face for her. We stayed with her while she was drifting off to her final sleep. While she was drifting off we were telling her we loved her very much and that it would be ok. We also told her that she could go play with Chloe, her little sister. She gave us kisses and tried to fight sleep, then drifted off peacefully to her final sleep.

We miss our girl a lot but are happy she is no longer in pain and can now be free to be with our other baby, Chloe girl.

Woe is me......

I'm not feeling that great these days. I can't seem to stand up for long periods any more. I even gave Mom a scare the other day by running out of the gate before she put my leash on. I ran like the wind to the corner and then my legs gave out and I fell down and peed on myself. :( Mom looked very sad when she caught me and helped me up. I think I even saw her crying a few times that day. I'm beginning to think mymedicine isn't working as well as it used to. I'm turning 12 next month and feeling every year of it.

Feeling Better this week

For the last few weeks I was feeling pretty bad. Mom and Dad took me to the Dr. and it turns out I have a case of hip displaysia and a urinary tract infection. :( I love my new Doctor. She gave me pills that I don't like to take too much, but they make me feel much better. For a long time I haven't been able to coil or wag my tail like my other Akita buddies, but now I'm able to lift my tail a bit. I bet I'll be able to wag it again soon. I miss being able to show Mom and Dad just how happy I am and I miss knocking things over with my tail. I bet Mom and Dad miss it too! My Mom bought me a new toy that I love a lot. When she gets home from work every day, I'm waiting for her at the gate with my toy in my mouth to show her how happy I am she's home. :)
