My Dad

Today is Father's Day and I want to tell you all about mon pere. He is the best dad. He has ze most comfortable lap! I love to climb on his lap and then I put my little poodly head on heez shoulder and I gaze into heez eyes.

My papa also takes me to ze groomer! I get a pretty flowery bandana. I went yesterday and got my summer cut. It eez veree short and I look tres chic; I am so slim and elegant!

My papa takes me outside every day. I sit on ze chaise lounge and watch ze birds and squirrels; sometimes I sit on his lap. He gets me a little treat, and sometimes we play with the water. We go in ze garage, and I look at all ze boy toyz he has. They are fun to sniff.

My dad picked me out of all ze poodly puppies and I am very very happy.

My Handsome Valentine

Ah, last night, it was wonderful. I spent ze evening with Maximus, sweet Maxie. We strolled. We danced. We talked. We snuggled. It was a wonderful night at Pugapalooza's Valentine Ball.

And zen...my stoopid brother, Guy Noir, he had too much to drink. He says today it eez because it has been so cold here, he was just trying to be warm. I say zat he is a bad boy, to spoil such a lovely evening.

I zink I will let him go to Texas with zat other very bad boy, Mr. H. Pee. Zen we will see. I am sure zat Aunt Nancy will show heem how to behave. HA!

A couple of days ago, but the Mom was busy taking care of Ascii, who has aspiration pneumonia! She is home and doing well, so now it's time to PLAY!!This is what it is all about.

Perfect Poodle

We went to the vet on Saturday. We have a nice new lady vet. I don't like the vet's office; it is too loud and confusing. I mostly sat on Dad's lap while the pugs were running around, making friends with all the scary strangers.

I did like the vet. She examined me, and said that I am PERFECT. Perfect weight, perfect height, beautiful coat. And she said I have beautiful teeth! Then she gave me shots, which I didn't like at all, and sent me home with an A+ plus report card.

And then I got groomed, but it wasn't as fun as usual, because my muscle where I got the shot was achy. But after a night's beauty rest, I was fine and running like a wild poodle in the snow again.

Well, gotta go beat up Guy Noir!

Brand new ME

Hi, I'm Chelu. I'm six months old, and I am very peppy! I live with some old guys who just don't know how to play! Ascii is pretty cool; she never growls at me (unless I try to steal her food) and she lets me cuddle up when I'm tired. But she just doesn't ever want to PLAY PLAY PLAY. I throw toys; I do the bowing down play posture; I bark. Ascii just looks at me! Like I'm nuts! Mom says Ascii is kind of old; she's 12! Maybe that's why she never plays! But she does take good walks. She shows me where to sniff!

And I don't like BUDDY the cat. He HISSES at me when I do a nose sniff. And I'm not real fond of COUSIN JAKE. You would not believe what he tried to do to my head when we visited (Mom says when he gets older, he'll try the other side. I DON"T THINK SO!).

And cousin Boo...well, it's a CAT for petes sake.

So, I have to play with the humans mostly. But I get along good with Ascii, and Buddy doesn't come around much when I'm out, so I guess life is good, huh? Poodle puppies are PERFECT!
