Meet Haley !! This sweet lady was rescued from an animal shelter, where she had been held, pending court proceedings against her former "caretaker". Haley and several other dogs (all Catahoulas, Shepherds and Catahoula/Shepherd mixes), were seized when it was discovered that they all suffered from abuse, neglect and starvation !! Poor, sweet Haley (and others) suffered greatly as a result of their abuse. Haley had a severe fear of men, loud noises and any quick movements. That made her "unadoptable". Catahoula Rescue found a foster home for Haley that specialized in "fear issues"......And this precious girl has "graduated"--with HONORS !! She is now ready, and eager for her very own, loving home. Haley is still is not really interested in toys(she would rather lay in your lap and get "pets" than play), but she loves bones and running the yard with the other dogs.. She also is definite about eating alone, won't even touch her food if the other dogs are around and won't go near their food at all. Haley wants nothing more than to be LOVED !! and would be a perfect match for someone who wants a calm adult female to be a couch potato and cuddle bug. She would probbly do best in a home where the main caretaker is an adult women, but safe with children and men and other dogs, and even other pets, I haven't tried her with cats but she is fine with my parrots, much smaller than cats and just as tempting to chase. She is completely submissive to the other three dogs, just gives in with everything. I know that the perfect home is out there for Haley......after al that she has suffered, she remains sweet, loving and devoted !! Haley is currently in foster care near Cinncinatti, Ohio.
