Birthday: December 18th 2004 Likes: Peanut butter on a spoon, being held on a lap, dandelions, chasing butterflies, visiting his friend Dot around the corner, walks in Philomath Park, meeting new people, playing endless games of fetch, knowing he is part of a family Pet-Peeves: Being pulled away while he is digging in dirt, cat sounds on the t.v. Favorite Toy: Mr. Octopus, Mrs. Squirral, Mr. Fire Hydrant Favorite Food: Loves ice cubes, peanut butter, and of course, cat poo. Favorite Walk: Moolack Beach near Newport, Oregon Best Tricks: Retrieves a ball, sits on command, goes down on command and will sometimes let me put a cookie on his nose and will then wait to flip it up and eat it. Arrival Story: Came to us in October 2005, at age 10 months, after living with a nice couple who got him off to a good start. Saw an ad in the paper, visited the nice owners and took Dozer home that night. I loved him immediately with his bright eyes and joy of life. Bio: We actually haven't a clue as to Dozer's lineage other than he came from a breeder in Oregon. Whoever his parents were, they were fantastic. Dozer has a great personality, is pure Corgi and just a wonderful dog that we love. Forums Motto: If they throw it, I will run after it. Our pal Rascal left us yesterday and headed to the Rainbow Bridge. We didn't have time to say good-bye and our hearts are very sad tonight. We told the squirrels they could win tonight because we just don't want to fight. Tonight we remember how fun Rascal was - he was a rescue too and he made his pawrents so happy in Iowa when he came to live with them. He was just 12 years old - but for a corgi, a good, long life.
We met Rascal on Dogster.com and while we never met in person, because he lived in Iowa and we hang out in Oregon, we felt like he was an old friend. We dog-mailed and shared pictures and got to be great pals. So we say "Good-bye" old friend! We will see you on the Bridge in the twinkling of an eye. Lots of prayers for your parents tonight - but don't worry, we will take good care of them for you.
I have been blogging at http://www.dozerandcoop.blogspot.com for over a year now which is why my diary has suffered. Mum is going to copy my blog entries over to my diary now that she has the Dogster.com theme on her browser. I have been up to lots of things and I need to share it all with you! So check back and I promise to write more entries.
Hooray! I am four years old today and Pippin sent me a football to deflate! How fun is that? Thanks Pippin, you rock!
I can't believe I am so grown up. Mum is getting misty-eyed thinking of when I was just a wee pup of 1o months when I came to live with her. Where has the time gone?
Thanks Dogster for my bones and my 5 Paws Up. I love Dogster and all my pals here.
