Birthday: February 1st 2005 Likes: Long walks, napping on the couch with his brother Themba. Peanut butter! Pet-Peeves: The garden hose- he wants to attack and kill it at all costs! Favorite Toy: The cong stuufed with Peanut butter- He likes balls too- loves to play fetch! Favorite Food: He loves to eat pretty much anything! He has a great appetite! Favorite Walk: Anywhere! Best Tricks: Sitting and lying down on command as well as to hand signals. Arrival Story: We found him post -Katrina in New Orleans running down our street with bloody paws dragging a broken chain around his neck. We took him in and fed him and gave him water and then took him to an animal shelter. I wanted to keep him immediately and cried the whole way to the shelter. My husband remembered how much money and time it took to get Themba to a good healthy state and said "We absolutely cannot keep him!" When we got to the shelter they were so overwhelmed with dogs and cats from Katrina it was really sad. We put him in the cage and my husband started to fill out the paperwork and looked over at him and said:"I can't do it. Put him back in the car. Lets take him home!" to which I was overjoyed. Themba loves his new brother and despite some issues with our cats he has become a valued and loved member of our family.Luckily he had no major health issues like Themba and appears to be thriving in our home.
