It's....PAGIE Time!

I was Dog of the Day!!

Oh goodness! I can't believe it! Larry Merrill drew me yesterday and I got to be dog of the day on dogeachday.com. Mama didn't even check her email till today though so we didn't realize it till today. That's ok though. Parker got to be dog of the day back in August and it was SUCH a big deal. Now...it's my turn. Boy, I'm going to milk this for all it's worth. I think I need some new chewies...maybe even a peanut butter sandwich. A really long walk..and a ride too. Yeah...I think a beautiful dog of the day such as myself should get all of that...

Home Sweet Home...

The other day we took walkers to the island. It's a couple of miles away and there's only one way on and off the island. It's the perfect place for me and Parker to play. Well, Monday when daddy took us there, I went for a swim in the river and Parker was off playing and daddy was talking on his phone and I got lost. Daddy panicked when he couldn't find me, he said. He said that he and Parker walked all over calling for me. But I was off having a great time! It was kind of scary being by myself there, but I was enjoying the quiet! Well, then they couldn't find me and they went home. Daddy said that he came back looking for me, but he still couldn't find me. Then when he got home...There I was! Miss Evelyn next door let me in when I got back to the house all by my self. I pawed at the door a few times and layed under the deck for a few minutes and then she let me in. No one is sure how I got home all by myself, but let me tell you how. I'm a smart girl!! We take that same walk several times a week, ya know? I know the way and I'm not afraid to use it! Mama had to go to St Louis for work that day and daddy talked to her on the phone and said I was gone. Mama said that she almost had a wreck on I70 because she was so worried about me. She had daymeres about me all alone in the wooded island, or not looking both ways before crossing the street on my way home, or someone else picking me up and keeping me! But then she talked to daddy again and he told her how I got h ome all by my self. She was so proud of me! When she got home that night, first she hugged me, then she gave my hiney a tap for running off. But I know she loves me. They thought I had learned a lesson, but every chance I get...I'm going to chase squirrls!!

La...La...La..La.. oh! Hi!

Why is it that I can just be minding my own business and then when I'm just being myself, I get noticed. And it always seems to be at the time when I'm doing something silly. So I'm a silly girl. So what? Mama says I'm sooo cute. Daddy rolls his eyes and chuckles. I'm not doing anything special. Just being Pagie!! I like to roll around and make silly sounds. Geez, I'm just scratching my back. I like to run down the hall and back going a gazillion paws an hour...what? I just want to run! Now, they tell me I snore. Can you believe that? speaking of snoring...i think i'll go do that now. I'll show them!!!
