Arrival Story:
My boyfriend (now my husband) was spending his winter in Lake Tahoe, and he decided he needed a companion, so he went to a breeder to look at some golden retriever puppies. The puppies were playing in the yard, and one puppy knocked over a bag of recycling. Most of the other puppies ran away scared, except for one puppy, who preferred to stay and lick an empty beer bottle. He knew he had found the perfect dog for him!

Bio:
In his youth, Tyler was the most rambunctious boy there was. In other words, a typical Goldie. This handsome boy loved riding in his dad's jeep, going for walks, and chewing up the backyard hose, fence, shoes, tools, etc. Then he met Lucy, his soul mate Rottie. He loved having a beautiful younger woman to keep him company, and her playful spirit kept Tyler young. Tyler was certified as a pet therapy dog in 2002, and he loved his monthly visits to the children's shelter, where the kids nicknamed him "Grandpa" because of his gray muzzle. Unfortunately, he developed liver cancer later that year. Our dear sweet Tyler earned his angel wings in September 2002. He is survived by his people and Lucy.

All Dogs Go To Heaven

Hello Down There!

Just because I'm in heaven doesn't mean I don't have a lot on my mind. I'm so glad to see that my people were able to move on. My whole purpose in life was to make them happy, so I just could not stand it if they stayed sad after I left.

In case you are wondering, I am having a great time up here. I can still see my family, and sometimes I even go down for a visit. Mom and Dad don't know I'm visiting, but Lucy does. When she sees me, she suddenly lets out a bark, hops into play position, then looks at me. If Mom and Dad notice her, they will ask her, "What are you looking at, girl?" Can't they see I'm standing right there?!

The best part of being an angel dog is that I don't have arthritis anymore so I can run and play all day and night. And I can sleep on furniture up here! In fact, Mom's old lumpy couch went to heaven too, so I get to sleep on it all the time.

So don't be sad when your doggie dies. As long as he was well-loved by you, he will go to heaven for sure! And I'll be here to greet him and welcome him to the big pack in the sky.
