How Girl Dogs Got Their Name

Once upon a time, there was a bitch named Angel Zoom Smokey who annoyed a wonderful dog who we will call Demon Flash Bandit. Demon was the sweetest, most handsome dog ever, so I suspect that Angel was jealous of his awesomeness. (Did you know the song from the Lego movie, Everything is Awesome was originally called Demon Flash Bandit is Awesome?--little known fact.) Despite all his awesomeness, Demon was a quiet dog who did not like to brag and stayed a humble dog. Things went along okay for a long time until all of a sudden, Angel Zoom Smokey took over Demon's cave and started attacking Demon Flash Bandit every time he walked into the room. Demon was not pleased and neither were his humans! This is why the female dogs got the name "bitches" because the male dogs decided that they were always annoying, and we gave them the name.witches. The humans don't know how to spell so it became "bitches". Now you know the history of the name, bitch for girl dogs, and if Angel Zoom Smokey does not quit attacking me, Mommy, says she is going to spend some time in the kennel (here at home) because Mommy does not want us hurting each other!

A Dog Has Got to Bark!!!!!!

I hope all my dog pals had a wonderful Fourth of July holiday!!! Mine was okay. Angel Zoom Smokey was not happy because there was a lot of fireworks going off all day, and she is scared of fireworks. She spent most of the day in my dog cave. My dog cave is my Daddy's cleared out closet with a dog bed in it. She seems to feel safe in there, and I let her stay in it even though it is mine. I'm a nice dog, and I often let her use my cave. I do remind her periodically that it is mine because otherwise she might get the idea that it is hers. She gets that idea a lot around here. Anyway, it is a much quieter day today, and I think Angel is much happier. She says she has no idea why the humans celebrate with noise and then get upset over a dog barking too much. Since the humans like noise so much, shouldn't they love it when we bark? I agree with her logic, but I don't think the humans are very logical so we dogs will never understand them!

Why no Bacon Flavor Oreos?

I hope all my pals are enjoying a nice weekend. Yesterday I wrote about some dog centered restaurants, and my cocker spaniel pal, Hershey, from San Francisco, CA has eaten at the Moss Beach Distillery. Hershey did not actually rate the restaurant in the comment section, but I got the impression that Hershey enjoyed it and would be glad to try out others. I guess I need to go to CA and meet Hershey in dogson. I think the Moss Beach Distillery would be the best place to meet.

Since I am on the subject of food, I saw an item about Chef Gordon Ramsay, and his television show, Kitchen Nightmares. His show is about to end. Some of the restaurants he helped have done okay, but 60% of them are no longer in business. I can't say I'm surprised about the 60% failure rate. Some of them were in very bad financial shape when he got there, and some of the owners were stubborn. Besides, you know some of those owners would end up doing business as they usually did it no matter what Chef Ramsay suggested. My favorite part of the show was when the owner would tell him that they can't changed the menu because their customers love the food-yet there weren't enough customers to keep the place open. I guess some humans, unlike us dogs, can't count.

I also noticed that Oreo is coming up with a new flavor which is going to be limeade flavored oreos. However this dog is not sure about them. I refuse to eat lemon flavor Star Bursts or Mambas. At least oreo keeps trying new things to please their customers. I know there aren't dogs running Oreo or they would have already introduced bacon flavored oreos.

A Restaurant Good Enough for a Dog!

I can't believe it has been an entire week since I last wrote a diary entry. It wasn't completely my fault since a couple of times I tried to write and dogster's birds and fleas were causing problems. Either that or the birds and fleas were causing problems with my Internet service.

Today I have something important to share with my fellow dogs. There is a website with a list of restaurants that serve dogs the kind of food we should be served: namely, human type food. It is about time the humans realize that we dogs like what the humans eat (as long as the humans aren't vegans LOL) Here is the site's address:

https://www.yahoo.com/food/10-restaurants-where- dogs-are-served-steak-beer-and-89999946926.html

If there isn't one in your area, keep your paws crossed that a human or a dog will be smart enough to open one.

Being a Diary Pick is Hard Work!

It is now 1:44 AM so officially, I was a diary pick yesterday. However, I did not get this written largely because Dogster was being stubborn when I tried to write earlier. Imagine my surprise that Dogster would be uncooperative to me--when I was chosen as a daily diary pick! I don't think it is too late to thank the nice dogs at HQ for choosing me.

Today has been the usual diary pick kind of day---I had to give out pawtographs, make appearances, and generally be in the public eye. It is busy, but it is also fun. Now it is time for me to get some sleep. Being a diary pick is hard work!

Angel Zoom Smokey: Crazy Dog~

I want to conpawtulate my pal, Mia, for being chosen as a diary pick today. I hope Mia's humans are happy with their new house. Mia has crossed over the bridge, but I know that she is happy that they are getting a new place, and I'm sure she will visit them a lot.

I ran across this item in the news, and I thought I should share it with my readers. It seems that a woman allegedly (that means that the authorities think she did the crime, but can't say she did until she gets a trial) poisoned her son. They think the motive might have been so she could share the news of what she and her son were going through on Facebook, Twitter, and her blog. I want all of my readers to rest assured that I have no plans to poison my humans just to get more traffic to my blog or diary. I happen to love my humans, and they give me treats so I want them to live a long and happy life! Here is the link for those who want to read about it, but it isn't a happy story so you might want to skip it. It does make a dog wonder what motivates the humans--I would never treat one of my puppies like that--and the humans think they are better than dogs!

On a personal note, last night was not fun around here. We had a thunder storm, and Angel Zoom Smokey is not fond of thunder, but the worst thing that can happen to Angel occurred. The electricity went out for about 1 minute and she was running around the room like a chicken with its head cut off. (Yes, chickens still run around when they are decapitated--they are birds and, as such, do not need brains or have brains.) Mommy keeps the lights on all night because Angel does not like it to be dark. Even though the lights came back on almost immediately, she was still upset for about 2 hours. Of course, I was a big brave he-man type dog, and I woke up for a minute and went back to sleep. There are very few things this dog loses sleep over! I also realize that I don't need light to sleep.

I'd like to thank the dogs at HQ for, once again, granting me the honor of being one of the daily diary picks! As usual, I will be busy basking in the glow of being a diary pick. I started my whirlwind diary tour and I am about half way done now. The crowds....the applause.....the pawprints I give out.....and the butt sniffing is, as always, the joys of being a diary pick! Alas, all good things must come to an end so, it won't be long until I'll be back being an ordinary diary writing dog again....until HQ chooses me again! It isn't bad though. I do look forward to getting back with my humans and winding down, getting some butt scratches and taking a nap. Being a dog is a good life!
