Just wanted to share my Valentine's Day story with you all, even though it's not a very good story.
I was in the backyard on Valentine's Day, playing with my big brothers, Kobi and Tyler, and Mommy and Daddy were hanging out with us and doing some work on the agility weave poles and jumps. When all of a sudden we heard something in the front yard, so we all ran over to the corner of the fence where there was a big pile of leaves, and we were barking at whatever was out there. Well, then I ran back to Mommy with a trail of red stuff coming out of my foot! It was just pouring out, so Mommy had to grab some towels and wrap my foot up and hold some pressure on it to try to get it to stop bleeding. Then Daddy sat down on the ground with me and held me in his lap and held the towel on my leg while Mommy called my Vet. Then they loaded me up in the truck with the wet red towels still wrapped around my foot and drove me to the clinic. The lady there pulled the towels away and took a good luck at my foot and said that I'd punctured a hole in my foot and hit smack on the main blood vein in there! She said it wouldn't need any stitches, but she wrapped it up real good and told me I had to keep that wrap on there for 5 whole days!! And that I'd need to take some medicine too, to keep it from getting infected. Mommy thinks that when I was pouncing in the leaf pile that I must have landed on a stick just right to have poked a hole in my foot like that.
Well, I got back home and Mommy made me rest in my crate for awhile, and then she took me to Daddy's house to spend the night while Mommy had to work all night. I'm kind of a 'daddy's girl' anyway, so that was just fine by me!
So hopefully, my foot will be all better in a few days!
Hope everypup had a good Valentine's Day!

Sis

Great News!!
I got my 2nd Basic Obedience Certificate......AND.......
I PASSED my Canine Good Citizen Test tonight!! WooHooo!!
Mommy was sooooooo proud of me!!! BOL!!!
Tyler passed his CGC Test too!!
Wags,
Sis..... A Canine Good Citizen!
If you're not familiar with the CGC Test, here's a quick list of the things I had to do:
1. Accepting a friendly stranger.
Evaluator approaches, shakes hands with handler. Does not touch dog.
2. Sitting politely for petting.
Evaluator pets dog, dog must show no shyness or resentment.
3. Appearance and grooming.
Evaluator inspects do, combs or brushes lightly, examines ears and each front foot.
4. Out for a walk.
Handler takes dog for a short walk including right turn, left turn, about turn, and stop.
5. Walking through a crowd.
Dog and handler walk close to several people. Dog may show casual interest but not jump up.
6. Sit and down on command / Staying in place.
Handler shows dog can do sit and down, then chooses a position, leaves dog and goes to the end of a 20 ft. line and returns immediately.
7. Coming when called.
With dog still on 20 ft. line from Test 6, handler walks out 10 ft. and calls the dog.
8. Reaction to another dog.
Two handlers and dogs approach, shake hands, exchange pleasantries, move on. Dogs can show casual interest.
9. Reaction to distractions.
Distractions are presented. Dog may not panic or show aggression.
10. Supervised Separation.
Handler goes out of sight for 3-minutes. Dog is held on 6 ft. leash by an evaluator.
**To pass the CGC Test, dog must pass all 10 items on the test.**

IT'S THANKSGIVING TAG!!!!
I was tagged by Finn McCool !
Here are the rules:
Because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. Each player needs to tell seven special things they are thankful for. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their 7 things. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Let them know by pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the instructions on how to play.
Seven Things I’m Thankful For:
1. I'm thankful for FRISBEES.
2. I'm thankful for Tennis Balls.
3. I'm thankful for my warm, safe home.
4. I'm thankful for Obedience classes.
5. I'm thankful for mud to get wet and dirty in.
6. I'm thankful for my loving family.
7. I'm thankful for stinky stuff to roll in.

Hey Everyone!
Hope you are having a great summer! It has been really hot here in Oklahoma, but the mornings and evenings are cool enough to play outside! I have learned how to play frisbee, but I get bored with it after 5 of 6 catches. And when I catch it, I don't usually take it back to the lady. I just drop it pretty close to where I caught it and let her go fetch it! That way she gets her exercise too! RUFF!!
I went to the vet last month and got fixed. They were so nice at the animal clinic and they all thought I was the prettiest little cow dog they'd ever seen and they couldn't get over how sweet and smart I am! I went through my routine and showed them all my tricks......sit, down, shake, and roll over! I was such a good girl while I was there so I got lots of love and attention. I had to stay there all night but the lady came and got me bright and early the next day. I was a real lover girl for a few days since I didn't feel good and stayed real close to the lady and snuggled with her alot. She made Kobi and Tyler stay outside quite a bit so I could get my rest and so Tyler wouldn't try to wrestle with me. I was back to my rowdy self though in just a couple of days so I got to play with Tyler but had to be supervised and no rough playing for about a week. That was a long hard week and I was glad when Tyler and I could resume our wrestling matches again!
I have really started to fill out lately and now I already weigh almost 40 pounds! I'm every bit as big as Tyler already.....well he might be just a teeny bit taller than me, but I'm wider than him for sure! The lady says that I am such a pretty girl!
And I have a new name that I go by now too. They call me Sis, as in Little Sister. I answer to it alot better than I answer to Molly. So Sis I am!
I just love my family and it's great to have my own pack to run with! Kobi is our pack leader and Tyler is the submissive one, and I fit just perfectly in the middle!
The lady said that I get to go to Obedience School in September. That really sounds like fun and I know I will do good cuz I'm so smart already!
Well, that's my update for now! Will try to get the lady to keep my diary updated more often.

Sis (aka Molly)

Well, after living with my foster family for over a month now, I have really made myself comfortable here. I am part of a pack now (Kobi is our Top Dog) and I'm a family member too! The lady that took me in has backed off on looking for a new home for me.....see Tyler and I have really bonded and she thinks it would be sad for us to be separated. So looks like I'm here to stay!! Yippeee!!! I'm learning to be a good dog too! I have a couple of little behavior problems (jumping on people, chewing things up that I shouldn't, and digging) that we are working on, but mostly I'm a pretty good girl. My favorite thing in the world to do is to wrestle and play tag with Tyler! I'm really growing big too....I'm already almost as tall as Tyler and I weigh about 32 pounds right now! I've still got some growing to do yet though!
Well, thanks for checking in on my diary......sorry it's been so long since it was updated.....the lady is so busy with all of us now, not much time for the computer....LOL. She goes for 3 dog walks a day (we each get walked by ourselves for about 30 mins each). Sometimes me and Tyler get to go walking together to the park and stuff too though.
Will try to update my diary again soon!!
Hope everyone is enjoying Spring!!! We sure are!!

WOW! My life has really changed over the past few days! I am getting so much love and attention, I just don't hardly know what to think!
My new foster mommy has been spending alot of time with me and teaching me lots of new things!! It is so much fun to learn! And she says I am really picking things up quickly! She calls me "Sweetheart" and "Good Girl" an aweful lot!
One of the first things I've learned is a new sound. The lady makes a sound like "CHHHT-CHHHT" when I am about to do something I shouldn't be doing. Sometimes she says "NO" too. But I seem to respond to the CHHHT sound better. Makes me turn around and look at her to see what that noise is!
I have also been going for walks everyday. Sometimes I get to go twice a day! I am starting to get used to all the new sights and sounds now and I'm not as scared of things anymore. She takes me by the same things everytime for now, but she said that we will walk a different way tomorrow just to change things up a bit! Today she would stop along our walk and have me sit at her left side. I kept wanting to get back up at first, but after we practiced it several times, I would stay sitting for 1-2 minutes (most of the time)!
The lady showed me "shake" and "down" today too, but that was just because I was pawing her for some pets, so she grabbed my paw and said "shake". And whenever I lay down on the floor she says the word "down", just to get me used to the word for when I am ready for that lesson after I get my "sit" solid.
I also figured out how to pick that frisbee up off the ground too! I really like the frisbee and I like jumping up and grabbing it out of her hand too! Today she ran across the yard holding the frisbee up and I would run and jump up and grab it from her while she was running with it! I was very intent on getting that frisbee.....I think I want to be an awesome frisbee dog like Kobi and like Tyler is learning to be!!!
Speaking of Tyler.....he is really my best friend of all! We are almost inseperable! The lady caught us snuggled up napping together today! She took some pictures of us that she will be putting up on my page tomorrow for everyone to see. We have so much fun wrestling around and jumping on each other and playing keep-away with the toys!
I've also been getting to sit in the car everyday. The car doesn't move or make any noises so I'm not scared to get in there anymore. The lady said that we are going to start the car tomorrow and sit in it for awhile to get used to the noise and then after a couple of days like that she said we will try driving around the block and see how I do, since my old family said I get car sick.
Oh, and the lady told me that I get to go meet the Vet on 4-17-06 to get fixed.....whatever that means. I guess I will have to stay there for a night or 2, but the lady said she would come and get me as soon as I am feeling good enough to come back home. I also have to get some shots while I'm there, because my first family didn't ever take me there to get any puppy shots like they should have. The lady was very upset when she found out that I hadn't had any shots yet.
Crate training is going well too! I don't have accidents in there at all and I stay in there all night long while the lady is at work. Tyler is still upset that I have taken over his crate and he still goes in there first and the lady has to pull him out so I can go in. But then Tyler lays down in front of my crate and keeps me company, so that helps alot. And the radio plays all night and I have a night light so the kitties don't scare me when they are running around playing at night.
I did have my very first OOOPS today. The lady let us stay inside this afternoon while she was taking a nap (since she works at night she has to nap in the daytime). We had a nice long play session in the backyard when she got home from work and we were all ready for a nap. Since Tyler and I were all snuggled up so comfy together she decided not to make us go back outside and left us sleeping. Well, I woke up and had to go potty so I went and pounced on the lady. And then Tyler woke up and came and helped me pounce on her too. She just pushed us off and told us to go lay down, so we pounced her again and again and she wouldn't get up.....guess we have really made her tired these last few days! So anyway, I went to the back door and tried to go out to potty, but there isn't a doggy door like my last home had, so I left a little puddle in front of the door. When the lady got up and saw it she felt really really bad because she didn't get up to let me out. I didn't get in trouble because the lady was so upset with herself and it was too late to scold me anyways, I wouldn't have understood after the fact. Luckily it was on the linoleum in the kitchen and was easy for her to clean up. I think the lady will get up and let me out now next time I try to wake her up! See, I'm not the only one around here that needs to be trained.....we ALL have to learn as we go!!!
Well, the lady said that after tonight she will be off work for the next 4 nights, so she will get to spend alot more time with us then. I can't wait to see what kind of fun stuff she has in store for me next!!
Don't forget to check out the new pictures on my page tomorrow and keep checking back for new diary entries every few days!!
And thanks to all of you that have sent me good luck wishes and such!! So happy that I am making some new friends here on Dogster!!

Oh I'm such a happy girl today! I finally got to come over the fence to stay with my friends: Kobi, Tyler, and their mommy! I have wanted to do that for a long time now, but most of the time I just had to sit and watch them play and do all their fun stuff through the fence. Well, now I get to join in on all the fun too!!
First, I wrestled with Tyler for awhile and then I got to play fetch with the tennis ball.....and I even brought it back to the lady and dropped it at her feet every time she threw it!! Then we got out the frisbee and I got to jump up and grab it from the lady's hand and then she threw it so I could chase it too....I just haven't quite figured out how to pick it up once it hits the ground yet.
I also got to go into her house and hang out for awhile. There are kitty cats in there, and I want to smell them really bad, but they make these funny noises at me when I try to get close to smell. Plus they get real big and puffy! I don't know what's wrong with them. I wonder if they think I smell funny or something?!?! The lady was very pleased that I didn't chase the kitties.....I just kinda creeped over to them real slow to try to catch a sniff of them, but I did do a couple of squeaky barks at them.....that's when the lady said "Molly, No Kitty" and clapped her hands. Well, then I had to go see what the lady was getting all excited about and I forgot about the kitties for awhile.
The lady was also very happy that I never had an accident in the house all day! I was in and out and in and out, just getting used to everything you know. The lady would go out to the back fence with me every once in awhile and tell me "Go Potty" and then she would stand there. She wasn't moving, so I sniffed around and then I squatted. After I squatted, the lady was so happy, she told me over and over what a Good Girl I was and I got lots of hugs and pets! Well, I really enjoyed all that attention, so I figured out in a hurry that I just need to tinkle when she says "Go Potty".....and I did it every single time! See how smart I am?!! Now, why couldn't my family on the other side of the fence just show me where I was supposed to "go potty" so I wouldn't get in trouble for going in the house......how was I supposed to know? Well, that was easy enough....potty training is gonna be a breeze!!! (We hope!)
Ok, so another fun thing I got to do was go for a walk in the neighborhood. I had only gotten to do that once before, so I've only been on a leash once. Well, the lady hooked me up to that leash and out the door we went. I did very good at staying on her left side in what she kept calling 'heel' position most of the walk. When I would start to wander behind or to the other side, she would just guide me back over to the left.....I wanted to stay close to her anyway, so didn't really matter to me which side I was on as long as she was close. I got scared a few times and just sat down and refused to move. That was when I saw a moving car or some big scary dogs in some yards we walked by. The lady really had to do some sweet talkin to get me to move again, and once she just turned and pretended she was going to walk off and she let the leash out a little, and boy did I hurry up to catch up to her! I didn't want her leaving me just sitting there! The lady said I'm a little "skittish" since I've never really been out of my yard before and so everything is new to me....sights, smells, sounds.....but she promised me that I will get used to all those new things because we will be going for alot of walks now!! YEAH!!!
Oh, and I have to brag on myself a little here.......I found a treat cube in the house this evening and mastered it in 2 minutes flat.....no kidding! It took me 1 minute to chew on the outside of it and figure out that it wasn't going to crack open like I was hoping, and then another minute from when I pushed it with my nose and a treat fell out and I snarfed it down right quick and then pushed the treat cube with my paw and rolled it over and made another piece fall out! Well, the cube was full of pieces of Beneful dog food when I started, and within 5 minutes I had almost completely emptied it out!! Now, how's that for smart?!!!
Ok, so that was a pretty full first day at my new foster home.......I had to go in Tyler's crate tonight because the lady had to go to work and since I'm new I couldn't be left out unattended. Tyler had been staying in the crate while the lady goes to work, but she's pretty sure he's ready to be a good big boy now (he's been practicing staying out alot lately and he always does just fine). The lady said that somebody will come and check on us and let us out to potty when the sun comes up in the morning, so we don't have to wait all that time til she comes home after 10am. That would just be too long for me to hold it I think. Will have to let you know later how my nights in the crate are going. I think I will do fine, since it will be dark anyway and I will be so tired from playing with Tyler that I will be happy to have a safe quiet spot to sleep without Tyler picking on me!!!
Good night everyone.....please bookmark my diary.....I will be updating it often to let everyone know what all new stuff I'm learning, how I'm getting along at my new foster home, and of course to see if I have found my new FOREVER HOME yet!!
Wet Puppy Kisses,
Miss Molly
