Us pups had the bestest Christmas ever! Santa Paws was VERY good to us! We got lots of treats, a brand new blankie, and a shirt for each of us.
My sisters always take care of opening the presents. I don't like the rustling of the paper, so I let them handle that job. Then afterwards, I eat the treats and play with the toys, too. But they get to do all the work of getting them open.
Meme sent us the BEST bones in the world! First of all, they were HUGE! (they were probably like 2 1/2 inches by 6 inches) They were peanut butter flavor- MY FAVORITE! But that is not the nest part.... Half of the bone was covered in doggie ICING and SPRINKLES!!!! It was the best bone I have ever eaten. I ran away to my little blue house to eat it, since I didn't want my sisters to try to steal it away from me. Oh, I was SO full after I was done, but it was delicious!
Thank you Santa Paws, Meme, Pepe, Uncle Bill, Mommie and Daddie for a wonderful Christmas!

It's been a few days since Uncle Roger and our cousins Ann Marie and Stephanie were here. They were really fun to have around the house. I was sad to see them leave. While they were here we got to have rib bones that they brought back from Bubba's and some chicken and steak! YUM!
Ann Marie gave the BEST pup massages, and Stephanie was always giving us wonderful pets! I was falling asleep beside them on the couch! Two days was NOT enough time for them to give us enough pets, that's for sure!

Well, the Memes and the Pepe left today. Everyone got up really early this morning. It's Saturday, can't I sleep in? NO WAY, Mommie woke me up so I could say good-bye. Grrrrr, I didn't like that at all. I was glad to say good-bye to the Memes and the Pepe, but I didn't want to wake up that early. I grumbeld around all day. Finally, I got to go down the driveway to get the mail with mommie. It's a long way down our driveway, and the breeze was just wonderful! My ears were flapping! I wanted to keep going, but Mommie didn't let me. :( But that's okay.
Mommie says that Meme and Pepe have to go back to Ohio to take care of Uncle Bill. The only thing is, Uncle Bill is certainly old enough to take care of himself! So I don't understand what they are talking about.
And Mommie says that my other Meme has to go back to take care of Sam and Cali. I can understand that, Sam is a fun pup. I stayed with him for a little while, actually. Cali is a big kitty now, from what I hear.
I had a great time with my visitors and I hope they come back soon.
Wags and Neck Huggers to all, especially the Memes and Pepe,

Yesterday, I got to take a walk with my Sisters Lillian and Cassie, Meme and Mommie. I just LOVE going on walks! I don't get all crazy excited and loud right before we go, I am cool about it. But I do love to go! Meme held my leash, along with Lilly's. I got to sniff, sniff, sniff and leave my mark on just about everything. We walked our normal route down to the hot springs and back. We haven't been there in a while, and so it was great for me to get some excercise and wear down my toenails. It was so nice to get back inside, though. It wasn't too hot but it was pretty sunny. My black fur sure does collect the sunshine! My water bowl was a beautiful sight when we got back! I drank almost the whole thing! It was a terrific walk!

Meme and Pepe have been here for a while now, giving me lots of pets and good food treats. My other Meme is with them, too. They all came on a big plane cause they live far away. They visit when they can, and always stay for a few weeks at a time.

FINALLY!!!! I got to go on a walk with mommie. It has been rainy and so we haven't been able to go. My friend Lizzie and her 2-legged mommie went with us. We went all the way to the lake by the hot springs, where we usually go.
There was lots to sniff along the way. And Lizzie and I were the only 2 pups out walking today! I was surprised! It was a bit cloudy, but not one drop of rain! I don't know where all the usual pups were today.
There were some people out walking. One nice couple passed us twice. One the second pass, they wanted to stop and pet me, but I got a bit scared. I don't know why, I just get scared sometimes. Mommie picked me up, and the woman gave me a little pet. She was very gentle. She also said that I have beautiful markings. I was so stoked to hear that! I am very proud of my speckled markings!
Well, off to nap in my pup chair with the orange slipcover. It's my favorite, especially since it is from meme. I think she gave it to me because she knew just how mcuh I would love it! ;)

In the pups with spots and dots group, they have been having a really fun hunt for Easter eggs for a few weeks now. And don'tcha know it EVERY time I find 'em, some other pup has already beat me to the finish line. ;(
Well, today I got to be involved with a REAL Easter egg hunt! There were even some REAL eggs there, too! Some were even GOLD! Well, not real gold, but they were real eggshells painted gold. Guess what was hidden inside those eggs... MONEY! I know, I would rather have pup bones, but the kiddies seem to really like getting the money and the candy.
This time I didn't really go hunting for the eggs, I helped my daddie hide them for the little 2-legged kiddies to find. I was sniffin' around and telling daddie just where to hide them! We did a great job, cause the kiddies really had to search for some of them!
We hid them all around in a couple of the log piles, on the crane, in the tall grass, by some of the barrels, and on some of the scrap wood piles. There were SO many little nooks and crannies that were just perfect for hiding eggs! There were also many great scents to track while we were out there! And other pups to see, too! And all the kiddies of course with their mommies and daddies!
After we were done hiding all the eggs (real and plastic), the kiddies came out and began hunting. I even got a chance to give them hints as to where the eggs were! They thought I was so special cause I was the only pup that got to help hide the eggs! It was a ton of fun!
I don't know if all the eggs were found, cause it started raining, and we had to go back inside. I am sure after the rain stops, the kiddies will go back out and search some more to make sure none of the eggs are left!
Whew! I am really exhausted from all my hard work this morning! Excitement sure does make me sleepy. It's off to my pup chair for a snooze!
