A friend of mine was walking to my apartment in San Francisco and was approached by a homeless man who begged her to take Rosie (at the time a malnourished two month old). He said he just lost his home and was just diagnosed with aids. We're not sure about him (he seemed to truly care about her), but some man/men were abusing her, because to this day, she is petrified of men and shows signs of abuse.

Rosie just had ACL knee surgery and is recovering well for a 9 year old!
