Butt-Noogies!! (butt-scritching) Ear-scritches and tummy-rubs are a close second and third, tho!
Small dogs who try to kill her... (yeesh!) Also- people who grab her and 'pound' on her, saying, "I like a BIG dog you can grab and pound on!" ...she prefers strangers who do not pound on her, thanks! :)
Her stuffed sheepie, which she uses to "flog" herself (and anyone nearby) when she shakes it around-, and her puppy-kong - filled with peanut butter! She LOVES 'floggable' toys with long legs!
If you give her a bite of popcorn, she will be your friend forever! Also, peanut butter, raw cabbage, carrots, and uncooked squash! Dog treats? OH- 'Texas Toothpicks' (beef tail tips)! Mostly, she likes her (healthy) people food!
The off-leash Dog Park!! Yay!!
Big Bertha likes to 'paint'! (yes, like elephants and primates do at zoos!) She loves this as recreational fun!
We looked and looked for a Rottie puppy to train as a 'replacement' for my old Service-Dog (who had also been a Rottie) but I wasn't sure I wanted another one... (sniff) We ran across a Rottie Rescue in Goldendale, Washington, and they had a young adult rottie we drove all the way out there just to meet- thinking maybe an adult would be good anyway, even if it turned out not to have the Service Dog traits, it'd make a good pet... except she hated us! :P I felt pretty bummered, but then Bertha barked and pushed and carried on untill they let HER out of the truck to come meet us too! ...it was ALL over. Big Bertha just turned on the charm... when I was hesitant, she hopped right onto impressing my other half, and once that was done... we were driving home with one VERY Big Rottie Girl whom we quickly fell in love with. She picked us, not the other way around!
Big Bertha is a BIG girl- before she was with us, she had been left to live in the family garage, because they had two kids and "a new carpet". (hrmf! how unfair!) But she is a wonderfully polite girl who hardly ever does a thing wrong! She started out shy and unsure of the public training, but she has BLOSSOMED- she is a fully fledged Service-Dog now, and performs all sorts of wonderful tasks for me, as well as a number of 'fun' tricks she can perform just to break the ice. (people are often surprised at a rottie as a service dog! she quickly puts them at ease with her gentle manner and sweet clowning around.) My life would be VERY different without her! She's just awesome. ((ADDENDUM: We have lost Big Bertha to age-related health illnesses... you cannot imagine how much my life has changed without her. The loss has been horrible. We do have a puppy in-training to become her successor, but... we miss Bertha terribly.))
Being a Service Dog rocks!

I have posted pictures, and new stories about my daily life! I'm very happy to be back to blogging again! Yay for blogs!
I want to give a super duper high-five paw wave to my new pup pal Maui... Maui does work like *I* do! Kind of, anyway! We would probably have tons of fun, working together... Hey Maui- if you're ever in Seattle, we can do a movie or something! I'll even share my popcorn! *drool*

I have my own Blog! You can visit it, at http://bboa.diaryland.com !
I don't make frequent entries, but I have pictures and information there, about my artwork and my life, and how things are going in general. There is also a link to the rescue organization who placed me in my wonderful home! Please look at their dogs, if you are considering rescuing a Rottie! They're great folks!
