Arrival Story:
Original owner unable to keep him and his brother, returned them to Sandcastle Kennels, and said if could find someone who would take both and were good people then they could have. Got him on April 27, 2004, almost 2 months after my 13 1/2 yr old rescue cocker, Daisy, passed on.

Bio:
February 2008, Buster had cataract surgery. The surgeon said he was a good candidate for the surgery. We are very sad to say, the surgery did not work and Buster is now Blind. This great little man still has a happy go lucky attitude, gets around great, uses doggy door, hops up on bed and sofa. Our first vacation with him blind was a success, if you didn't look at his eyes, you would think he could see, he is so confident.

where do the years go, it is hard to believe I am now 11. it was just yesterday my mom came and got me at the kennel. I am glad the other family decided to let me and Ziggy go to another home. I still have to have drops and pills for my eyes, but I get around great.

Glaucoma

My mom says I now have glaucoma, whatever that is. I have to have 2 drops a day in my left eye and 3 drops a day in my right. Mom says it keeps the pressure down. I always get a treat after my meds. That goofy brother of mine, Ziggy, gets one also, but he tries to get mine if I don't eat it fast enough.

Cataract surgery

Well, I had cataract surgery back in February and now I can't see anything, but my mom & brother Ziggy help me a lot. My mom doesn't move the furniture around, so I know how to get on the bed (she put me a bench at the end of the bed), I can move all over the house and can go outside through the doggie door all by myself and roam all over the place. My mom got pretty mad at the doctor who told her I was a good candidate for the surgery. She is so funny when she gets mad.

I hope all my friends are having a good summer, even though it is hot here in Oklahoma.
