Quick Bio:

Likes:
The blinking red ball above all others. After that, she adores her people, her boyfriend, Louie, and Louie's people. She loves the snow in the winter and the creek in the summer.

Pet-Peeves:
Shadows, people who walk past the yard without saying hi

Favorite Toy:
Red ball, followed by the turkey dog.

Favorite Food:
popcorn, peanut butter, carrots

Favorite Walk:
The Elks park.

Arrival Story:
We adopted Ruby from the Humane Society when she was 10 weeks old. We had just moved to Colorado and for the first time had a yard and room for a dog to run. We wanted her from the moment we saw her, and waited on pins and needles for the "hold" someone had put on her to expire. They called us after a few days and said we could come pick her up. She went straight to the vet to be fixed, and 3 days later went on her first of many camping trips in the mountains.

Bio:
Most people don't know it when they meet her, but Rube is completely deaf. It doesn't slow her down at all, she is the friendliest, most energetic dog around. She was born blind in one eye, and we had to have that eye removed last year. I don't think she misses it at all, she can still chase that ball in the park all day long.

Forums Motto:
Don't touch my butt.

I know it's been a while since I wrote, but so much has been going on!

First of all, my people brought home a new little person for me. He moved in with us in June of 2007, and they call him Valentino. He's so cute, and he smells so good! He has awesome toys, too, even though I'm not supposed to touch them. He has learned how to say my name, and he comes to my bed every night and kisses me before he goes to his bed.

My family moved back into town last summer, it was hard sometimes being a mountain dog. Mostly I think they were worried that I was going to get eaten my a mountain lion or a pack of coyotes (that happened to the neighbor's dog, it was awful!). So we're back in our house in north Boulder, near my creek and my bike path. I get to see a lot more of my friends now - Thor and Daisy, Halle and Blu, and our new friend T.O. that just moved in on our street. I hope to see Halle, Blu and T.O. on Dogster soon.

Woof for now!

Big News!

I'm gonna be a mountain dog! My mom and dad bought us a new house, waaaayyyy up in the mountains, next to a lake. They said I can swim in the lake every day, except when it's frozen. I'll still get to see my cousins Thor and Daisy (sending out a big WOOF! to my pack) a lot, because we go there for dinner on not-work-days and stuff. I'll miss the trail behind my house, but my dad promised that there was an even better trail at the new place, plus I get a huge yard - a whole acre! They're building me an enclosure so I can be outside during the day and won't get eaten by anything.

More later, after the move. Bye for now!

Party!

2005 has been a good year for me so far. I didn't get hurt or lose any parts. I only had to go to the vet once, but it was pretty awful - she poked me in the butt with a needle, even though my mom warned her not to.

I got new neighbors, Halle Berry and Blu Berry. They're pretty cool, even though I wish one were a boy dog. I just luuuuurrrrvvvvve the boy dogs. Halle kind of looks like me, the people think it's pretty funny.

My mom and dad got married this summer, and I was in the wedding! I was not only the Flower Dog, but I got to be "Best Dog". My mom says that even though I didn't have any competition, it was still a win.

I gotta go, I don't want to get caught using the computer again! Woof!
