Today Dad brought out my paddling pool. I challenged the hose to a duel before he filled the pool up, and of course, I kicked it's butt. My Mom took pictures of me getting in and splashing around, so I thought I'd share some.

That's me smiling, like I do .

Mom thought she would caption that photo, "What you gonna do with all that junk?" She thinks my butt is looking pretty big.
Daisy didn't really play in the pool much. Dad actually had to try putting her in (twice) but after we came in and she FRAPped to dry off, I tried chasing her and nipping her.

Here are the rules of the game!
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary.
I was tagged by both Kaley Corgi and Duffy! So here goes...
1. If my parents have a sheer-ish blanket on their laps, I love to sit underneath it and simply look through it. If you come over and see a dog-ghost near the couch, that's me, and don't try moving your hand outside of the blanket, because I can see it, and I will nip you.
2. I have a vast, vocal range. Sometimes I will just roll around on the floor and go "raahgroogrrgrgrrahh."
3. Before my parents knew they needed to vaccinate me, they took me to the park when I was only 6 weeks! I never touched the ground, but now that they know better, they feel pretty fortunate I never got parvo or distemper!
4. I have never met a boxer I liked. Mom suspects that they all share a breed quirk of coming up, and getting in other dogs faces, and this is something I hate. Conversely, I love poodles. They are my favorite dog breed. I get along with them better than most corgies, even! My friend, Mambo, is a black standard poodle, and he and I take turns nibbling and chasing each other when he's at Creston park.
5. My sire's line of the family were all champions, and he was even featured on an Animal Planet show! Huzzah! But...I was the smallest of my litter, and I had a spotty nose, so I was sold as "pet quality" and neutered. Mom thinks I'm still the handsomest dog ever.
6. I FRAP at least once a week, even if I've been walked three times a day and have gone to the park.
7. If my parents give me the stern eye and say, "Pick-nicccck" in their deep voice, I volunteer my paw to shake. Mom thinks this may be a stress thing, because when she gets home from work and I haven't seen her all day and I'm so excited and she's ignoring me until I behave, if she even glances at me, I offer my paw up. What can I say? I'm cordial.
Guess I better tag someone else!

Yesterday Daisy was gone all day long, and then when she came back, she was so sleepy. I noticed her belly was shaved and Mom and Dad have been trying to keep us very, very calm.
She hasn't been acting like herself at all! For instance, she hasn't snarled at me at all when I've tried to kiss her.
When Mom fed her this morning, I noticed she got a sort of mixture of wet and dry food. It looked so delicious! Even Flirtcat was trying to get some.. I didn't want to eat my food at all.
I'm giving her a break.. not jumping or sitting on her. She seems to appreciate that. Mom says when she gets better in two weeks, I can leap at her all I want.

Daisy and I had an altercation on the bed this morning.. I became a little too excited and she was getting annoyed with me and snarling, so I had to assert myself. We haven't had any other scrapes since then.
Mom and Dad took us on a walk through Woodstock today. We got pets and compliments from strangers on how cute we are. I'm hoping Mom takes us to Creston park today because I miss all of my friends there... we went to Creston two days ago, and we went to Brentwood park yesterday. At Creston Daisy and I chased my red ball.. actually, Daisy herded me, and I chased my red ball. There was a golden retriever that was chasing a ball and together Daisy and I herded him for a while.. it was real fun. She took one side and I took the other. Also, she got to meet Niko and Kaya, my husky and lab friend, and Mischa, my other lab friend.. If we go early enough today she might get to meet Sheb, the dobermann and Ebi, the lab. Maybe even Pumpkin will be there... when we played at Brentwood park yesterday we were both sort of on edge. I don't like when the other dogs make Daisy upset.. it makes me jumpy.. and Daisy gets upset when the other dogs jump on her or sniff her when she tries to sit down. We didn't do as much playing at Brentwood park, but there was one dog that Daisy and I both chased together, but not for too long.
Well...we're sort of growing to like each other. Mom got a really deceptive photo of us kissing each other on her cellphone..she's made that the background. If you looked at it, you'd think we were the sweetest, best friends ever, but actually, when she took that photo we went from sniffing each other's faces to growling and barking at each other. Here's hoping things get better...

Mom and Dad brought home a girl-corgi for me because they thought it would make me happy to have someone to play with, 'cause you know me.. I just loooove to play. But actually, it's made me kinda irritable. I don't like having another dog that receives attention and pets and love. I don't like having to share my space, and having to worry about whether or not she wants to be in control. Whenever she bugs me, I whine and bark and become really mouthy, but Mom and Dad just tell me to calm down. I want to be the only one that gets any love and attention, and that gets to rule the roost, but I still want someone to play with.

After we made our first trip to the vet I was miserable with my paw covered. I licked it, I hobbled around and in general tried to look pained and sad. Well, it took me a bit but eventually I chewed off the wrappings, so my Mom and Dad were forced to try to put the wrappings on again. Didn't work. I ripped them off again. My Dad was too frustrated to actually re-wrap my foot, so my Mom did right before bed. When I got out of my crate in the morning Dad found a big pile of tape and gauze underneath me. I thought I had hid it pretty cleverly. When Mom found out I took the wrappings off again she sighed and gave up.
Yesterday we went to the vet to have the wrappings removed; my parents settled for an inspection of the quick and paw. The vet said I was doing fine, that the area wasn't infected and that at this point the paw needed to be exposed to the air. Needless to say, my parents were relieved, both that my paw is better and that they can stop giving me Rimadyl. I guess it makes me dopey.
For my next visit to the vet Mom wants me to have my teeth cleaned. For now, I think I'm just going to take it easy and try not to rush anywhere. I don't want to rip off anymore nails.

I've ripped off my bandages now three times. Mom is regretting not getting me that e-collar. Dad's completely fed up with trying to re-bandage my foot. I lick my toes but stop when they tell me to. I had my Rimadyl this morning. On Monday I'm supposed to have my bandages removed. I wonder what the vet will say.

Yesterday I tore out a nail while trying to lunge after the UPS man. The nail came clean off, exposing my quick and making it unbearably painful for me. Mom called Dove-Lewis this morning and they said that it was important that I see a vet because when this happens, it hurts us dogs very bad and exposes us to infection.
After my $90 vet trip (Mom says I'm an expensive date) I'm feeling a bit better. My paw is wrapped tight in gauze and I've been given Rimadyl, which I'm supposed to take twice a day for a week, to deal with the pain. I googley-eyed my Mom into not bringing home an e-collar for me, and so I've been able to nibble at the gauze. When I go outside into the snow I have to wear an old IV bag over my foot, so it doesn't get wet. Mom calls me "Flipper dog" because that paw looks like a seal's flipper when I'm hobbling around on it. Dad has given me a pig's ear to deal with the pain but right now I'm just not interested. Here's a photo of my injuries that was taken at the vet.

In funnier news, yesterday I peed on the UPS guy. Dad was letting me out into the backyard to play into the snow, but the UPS guy was dropping a package off into our backyard (instead of on the front stoop) and when I saw him I got so excited, I ran out of the gate. Dad yelled "Catch him" and when the UPS guy grabbed me, I peed on him! I guess it wasn't funny for him though...

Today it snowed. Our backyard is absolutely covered, and I'm not gonna lie... I love it. I love to FRAP through the snow, biting it as it comes down. I love to dig through it. Of course, I can only handle it for so long before I get too cold.
Mom took some photos of me playing outside.

I look pretty happy because I pretty much am.
My one gripe about this cold weather is that I don't get to go to the park as much as I'd like, and walking gets unbearable. The other day my mom took me for a walk and we might have been out for too long.. I dunno, but I started pawing at her leg so that she would carry me home. I hope she gets me some booties, or a jacket.
That's all for now.

Yesterday we had the corgi get-together for my group, Oregon Corgies, at Creston Park. I would say it went off well... My friends Mabli, William Wallace and Koopah were there and while I was a little tired, we played quite a lot. I'm looking forward to more park time with my new friends. :)
Today my Mom got me a tooth brush.. The trainer said that my breath would stink less and it might help me live longer if my teeth were brushed once or twice a week. While I don't care if my breath stinks (the better to wake Mom up with, right?) I do think living longer than expected is cool.
Mom and Dad are talking about maybe in a year or two getting me a companion, because they were so impressed by how Mabli and William Wallace complimented each other. Hey, why not? I'd love to have someone to herd besides the cat!
That's all for now.
