Arrival Story:
This is the tale of two sweet chicks living in WaNoHo and their quest for a sassy canine mate. My roomie and I began our quest for a dog in the spring of '04--back when you had to walk up hill both ways through the turnstiles just to get to the petfood store. We were looking for a mature, lazy dog who didn't chew and wouldn't mind that we were at work all day and who wouldn't run up long distance calls to South America or surf the internet all day. My roomie called Sentient Creatures about a Corgi and, after hearing our desires, Chitra told us about another dog: Stella. Stella was obese, agressive and had "itchy butt" but it only took one look at her happy, walking-in-an-arc self for us to know she was the one for us. She had us at "I'm fat and happy despite years of neglect." We adopted her because she is a great, fun, lazy dog. We luvs her. She makes us laugh frequently. We do wish she would stop acting like a Flying Ninja toward other dogs. For now, Chihuahuas clear the sidewalks when they see us coming. Hiy-ya! ...................... Squirrell Watch 2006 is going well, if slightly less active than in '05 (hibernation?).

Bio:
4 year old pit/beagle mix who loves life and sleeping! She eats her veggies first, then her kibble. We're proud to say that she has a hint of a rib showing after a year of walks and good food. Success! Soon she will not be obese, just overweight! Yay! She is still cute, of course. Stella lost 8% of her body mass in the past year! Go Stell!
