It's My 16th Birthday!

WOW! Today is my birthday and I am
16 years old!! Can you believe it?
Mom's been wondering if I'd make it
to this day since I'm not in the best
of health. I'm very stiff when I walk
nowadays and I like to sleep alot too.
I'm also deaf and can't see very well
at all, but I'm still kickin'!

We Received Another Gift Box! OMD!

OH MY GOSH!!!
We got another box!
That makes four!
We are very blessed with awesome pals.

The Little Pack.
I'm not one for toys anymore, but I sure
did like those soft treats. Yummmmm! We
have so many toys now that mom had to
put away alot of our old toys to make
room for all the new ones our pals sent
us.

I'm 15 Years Old!!

Hey pals!

We got on here very late...that's why this is on the
1st instead of the 30th.
Mom being bad again!
Anyway - I'm 15! WOW!
I'm a little stiffer and slower when I wake up, but
my liver numbers were a bit better the last time I
went for my checkup, (I can't remember when!) and...
my heart murmur got better by one number (I can't
remember that one either! Sheesh!). So I guess I'm
doing alright for an old lady!

Oh, my mom isn't going to be able to thank each of
you individually because she can't catch up on all
the thank yous for Cooper, Redford, Manytoes, and
now me!
She's overwhelmed! So...
THANK YOU, EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU
for the gifts, paw-mails, and comments. I appreciate
each and everyone of you!

The Big One-Four

November 30th.
My birthdate.
Today I am 14 years old.
And let me tell you, I'm feeling it!
Let see if I get my burger today or in a few
days. Mom is like that! Sometimes we celebrate
our birthday a few days later! Yeah, you guys
know that story!

Hot Air Balloons

I! HATE! THEM!!!!

And now the Albuquerque International Balloon
Fiesta is here!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!
Well, it's been here since the 2nd. I hate
October. Those balloons are everywhere in the
mornings. All I have to do is see one and I
start my non-stop barking!!!! Then all the other
pups start up too. Some of them know what all
the barking is about but some don't. I know
Forrest doesn't know what he's barking about.
He's just a copy-cat! Mom's always thanking
us for teaching him to do it right and loud. I
wonder why she sounds sarcastic? I'll have to
live with those globes 'til the 10th. Well -
not really. Around here there's always a few
balloons in the sky when it starts to get cold.

They need to go somewhere else!!

You Like Me - You Really Like Me

I guess it pays to get a bath 'cause I was nice and clean
when I went and picked up my award today. What award you
ask? For me being one of the diary picks. First award I've
ever gotten on here.

It feels pretty good to be honored, pups.

1. Do you ever wake your parent up in the night?
Yes, but not every night. I'm kinda old so I need
to go outside more often. I make this bark/cough
noise and the next thing I hear is mom saying,
"Oh crap, Wishbone." Then she stumbles out of bed
and lets me out. She should be happy I ask her at all!

2. Do you ever tear up things?
No, but when I was a young pup, I dug a hole in a
brand new leather couch when mom and dad
weren't home. After that, Sparkee and I were put
in the crate whenever they went somewhere.

3. What is your favorite treat?
Chicken

4. Can you fetch something when asked to do so?
No.

5. Have you ever lived any place other than where you live now?
I'd have to say where I was born. Mom found me at
a pet shop back in '96 before she knew it was a no-no
to buy a pet from there.

Don't Mind If I Do

I sure do feel good.
Got a bath today and I've been napping quite comfortable,
thank you very much.
Usually at night, I'm panting alot 'cause I get hot.
Must be my age, too.
But tonight I'm not doing that. Mom thinks she might be
giving me more baths this summer to keep me cool.
We'll see.

After bathing eight dogs today, she just might
conveniently forget to.

My Recheck

Yesterday mom took me to the vet for my recheck.
They drew blood and said they'd call later in the
day with the results.
So mom waited and waited.
Then she got the call she was waiting for.
The vet had good news!
The numbers have gone down and my liver is
doing better!!
The meds did their job!
My liver is still not normal but better is better
than not better!
What!?
Well, you know what I mean.
I will have to keep taking a med called SamE long
term. It helps livers to become healthy again.

My mom and I want to thank all of you for
keeping me in your thoughts and prayers
We know they sure helped.

We love you guys!!!

Getting Old

I went to my Wellness Comprehensive Exam the
other day.
My liver is not doing good. The numbers are all
out of whack. I'm taking several meds but the
thing is that there's not much that can be done.
I can't have any more dentals or anything where
I have to be put under. The vet said I probably
wouldn't wake up from the anesthesia.
Bummer . . .
Mom said we're gonna take it one day at a time.
I've always been loved even though I've basically
been a beeyotch all my life and I will continue to
be loved 'til, well, you know. My life has been
good, so there are no regrets. Mom was worried
that Sparkee's trip to the Bridge would affect me
and she thinks it has. She can tell that I miss my
best friend. There's no one to hang with me and
put up with my issues like she did. She cared
about me and vise-versa. We were BFF. I
really do miss her and been sorta lost without
her.

Well, I'm gonna go rest a bit now. See you later.
