Arrival Story:
Carly was a birthday present from my husband. I wanted a cat. He wanted a dog. Guess who won? We went to Bide-A-Wee and came home with a tiny brown and white fuzz ball.

Carly was my first dog, and my first "baby". She welcomed my human babies (all 5) as they arrived with great interest and a lot of dog kisses (she especially liked to lick baby toes!). She was very afraid of thunder and would go hide under a crib. My husband thought she was protecting the babies. Maybe she was, but I figure she just thought she'd be safe where ever the kids were. She was a good dog... a good companion for my husband and me, and a good friend and playmate for her human "brothers" and "sisters".

My Tail of Devotion for Carly (In Loving Memory)

You were a birthday present from my husband when all of us were young. You were my precious baby before the real babies came. As they arrived, you accepted each one and became their guardian, companion and playmate. Daddy always loved dogs, but it was you who taught the rest of us that life is so much better with a dog!

This is a special Tail of Devotion
