Arrival Story:
We went to the pound five days in a row, and were prepared to adopt a smaller Rott/Hound mix, but he was adopted minutes before while we stood in line. So a volunteer (thank you Erin!) finally lead us to Domino (which after not much debate, became Hank) and we're all living happily ever more.
Bio:
We're almost sure he grew up in an Italian kitchen. Overly energetic (and by this we mean he would chase Superman over tall buildings and stuff) and monkey-like, Hank loves to be that dog at the park that runs round and round in big circles, stirring up a crowd of pursuants. He loves people (they're second only to dogs in his esteem) and likes to dance and jump at the faces of the brave few who stop by to visit. He might not like rolling onto his back but he's invented a few of his own tricks that he thinks are pretty keen: like pushing his toys off the couch and reaching down to get them (with his back feet still on the couch) and then jumping backwards, back onto the couch to do it again. Hank is a dreamer - we can only guess of what he dreams but we know it's pretty fantastic because in his sleep he twitches, whines, howls, hollers, runs and kind of shakes all over. He loves to ride in the car, face out the window of course, and finds somewhere between 40 and 48 mph to be the optimal ear-flapping, eye-opening speed. Hank also loves to lick your face, your legs when you get out of the shower, and just about anything else near enough to reach. He's a good boy and a Superdog and very much misses his little sister Willa and co-mommy in Chicago!
