Toby's World

Things have been pretty wild since we first got Lexi. Since then, my mommy had someone digging up my backyard. She kept telling me how nice it was going to be once those guys left with all that equipment. I thought it was pretty great once we were able to run around our yard although there wasn't much grass, so I tried to stay on the part they didn't mess up. They sure did make a mess and leave a really big hole in my yard. After they put the gunite in, we got to run around and around in the bottom. Just at the time I was getting used to this really great place to play catch, they put water in it! Now it's just great when I want to take a cool dip. I generally do this in the early morning right before mom has to go to work. I wait for when she isn't watching and I dive in from the raised beam. She sure does get all panicky when I do that, but I just swim to the big steps and get out. She's always waiting with a big warm towel to dry me off with. I think that she's beginning to catch on to my game because she has started to stay outside. She makes me get away from the side of pool. One day she won't be able to stop me, but I think I'll wait for warmer weather the next time I decide to jump in. Lexi and I go everywhere together these days. We both share mommy and our food better than we did a few months ago. She sure is getting bossy though. I don't get to play with many things unless I get to them first. She just barks at me until I finally give her what she wants.

Our new arrival

My name is Toby. I'm three years old. I have two human brothers and one human sister. We just adopted my new sister, Lexi, about 3 weeks ago. She is also a yorkie, so now I'm not too lonely during the day. Not that I'm ever lonely, but it sure does help to have someone to pal around with. I'm beginning to like having someone my own size to be around. I wasn't too sure that I was going to like having someone else sit in my mommie's lap or sleep with us. I've decided that she's not too bad for a girl.
