Arrival Story:
We had another GSP named Buddy for 12 years who was everyones favorite crazy dog. When he died, there was a huge hole in the family. We needed another Pointer, so we looked up GSP rescues and found Jake. It was love at first sight for us . . his shyness didn't last long. His rescue mom, Julie, had saved him from the pound and taught him to behave in a family. We brought Jake home in February, 2006. He fits in here with the fat tomcat, Rex. It seems like he has always been part of our family. Only once and awhile we call him "Buddy", but he is establishing his own place in the family.

Bio:
Jake is really coing into his own. He enjoys our canoe camping trips- especially chasing dragonflies along the shoreline. He is fascinated by heat and fire. When I build a fire, he leans over my shoulder and whines in anticipation! He practically climbs inside the fireplace while the fire is burning. His great joy is to get other dogs to chase him in the hills at Alston Park in Napa. He usually has to slow down and circle back to keep their interest because he can run so FAST! Everyone loves to see him coming becaues they know their dog will go home tired. He does get a little naughty and run off into the vinyards to chase birds, but he can't help himself and he comes back when we whistle.
