Arrival Story: My friend sent out an e-mail saying his uncle's Sheltie had unexpected puppies. The puppies were 6 weeks and ridiculously adorable. I went over to my friend's house to check out the puppies out of curiosity. Kayla was just too cute to not take home. Even though she's the runt of the litter, she kept challenging her littermates despite constantly getting owned by their strength and size...but she always went back for more! She's a delightful addition to the new pad!

Bio: Actually I think she might be a Poshie (Sheltie/Pom mix)!

I've been having so much fun these days! I went to the dog park for the first time last Thursday. My mom was a bit apprehensive at first, but all the dogs were very well socialized and gentle (with me, at least). Friday was even better because my big cousins Maxwell and Maribelle were there too. This one Aussie was being very playful and feisty, but Maxwell thought he was being too rough with me and gave the Aussie a firm warning. I had a blast playing with all the dogs, no matter how big they were! This one 104 lb. German Shepherd was pretty interested in me, but the only way I could play was if he was laying down. My 8 lb. frame can't do much damage! My mom was afraid that he'd step on me, but she underestimates me -- I'm too quick for that.
Ahh Fort Funston... it's like the Vegas of dog parks! There were so many fun and playful dogs! In addition to the fun factor, I took a risky gamble when I followed Maribelle, Maxwell, and Ethan into the ocean! When I wasn't looking, a wave almost broke right over my head, and before I knew it, the water was quickly getting neck-high. I heard my mom call out to me (I think she thought I'd be swept away to sea), but luckily my big cuz Maribelle was right behind me, and she chased me safely back to shore. Maribelle is only 7 months and already makes a terrific lifeguard! Good thing my big cousins look out for me :) Oh one of the most interesting (and to my mom, disgusting) things I saw on the beach was a headless baby seal! Mom wouldn't let me investigate though...
