My Life (so far)

It's My Birthday!!!

Happy Happy Birthday to me!! That is right, today I turn 2. My mommy and daddy gave me a bunch of birthday kisses this morning and even gave me a birthday treat.

My sister Zoe got a treat too, but I will share because I got a treat on her birthday as well, so I can share (I guess).

Mommy and Daddy are also excited about today as it is the first day of "football??" They told us last night we had to be good today while they watch the game on TV. We will nap...I love my naps.

Our favorite place to play

I told you all earlier that we have new neighbors. Well since they have moved in there have been TONS of kids in our driveway and we MUST go outside each time we hear or see someone out there. They will pet us if we go outside and let us lick them. Us is me and my baby sister Zoe.

Mommy and Daddy have let the neighbor kids come into our backyard and run with us when we are back there. There were 4 kids in our backyard the other day. They play in the sandbox with us (our favorite place to play). Zoe and I will lay down in the sandbox and those kids will take a bucket of sand and poor over us......we LOVE that. Mommy on the other hand, is not so fond of that. The other night she was petting me while I was laying on her lap on the couch and she said you could see the dirt fly off of me. Soooooo guess where I had to go...yep, BATHTUB. No biggie though, I love taking a bath.

Well, guess Daddy will be home soon to let us out to play which will be nice because I heard him tell Mommy that it is going to rain all day tomorrow and we won't get to go outside and play.

Diary of the Day???

So I am outside running around the backyard because it is again a beautiful spring day in Kansas. My mommy comes running outside and say....LUCY...YOU ARE DOGGIE DIARY OF THE DAY!!!!!! I looked at her like "what are you talking about mom, have you lost your mind?" So I course I run over to her to find out what she was talking about (hoping that I will also get petted and some belly rubs, of course I did)!!
She said that on the Dogster website they have put my picture on their HOME page and everyone will be able to see me all day long.
Now I am sooooooooo nervous. How many people will see me all day? Did I have my hair combed in that picture. Ohhhhhhhhh I hope she didn't pick one of me in the tub...that would be sooooooo embarrasing.
So to everyone that sees my picture and reads my diary....HELLOOOOOOOOOO FROM NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.
Hope you all have a good day. I have to go now, still have many areas of the yard I have not sniffed yet, and that little neighbor boy might come out a play and I do not want to miss that.

My new neighbors

So today started like any other day. At 3:30 am my little sister Zoe woke mom up and she took us outside, then told us as we were going back in that we had to go back to bed. I of course followed her orders and went right back to my kennel, Zoe on the other hand, went somewhere in the kitchen and I heard mom go after her. So back to sleep. Then daddy wakes us up when he gets up for work and then mommy gets up not to long after that, or when I jump in bed with her and give her good morning kisses.

When Mommy came home from work today she took Zoe and I to the back yard because it was sooooooooooooooooo nice outside. We started to run and then our new neighbors came home. We both jumped up on the fence to see who was over there. They have 2 kids...2 I tell ya. One is a little girl and the other a little boy. The little boy is named Austin. He LOVES us. He even came in the backyard and ran around with us and tossed sticks for us to chase and everything. Then his mommy said he had to go inside because she was making dinner and he cried, but she said he can come back and play again. Sure hope he gets to play tomorrow, but mommy said something about rain. I know I don' t like rain...gets me all wet and that is not very nice.

Well, I am off to nap on the couch until mommy and daddy say it is bedtime.

My Life (so far)

My life started in September of 2004. I had 2 brothers and 6 sisters!! My mommy (Paula) and my Aunt Becky came to my house and told me I was the cutest thing they had ever seen and wanted to take me home. So off I was. I had no idea where I was going, but I just layed in my new mommies arms all the way home. When we got there, my daddy was so happy to see me. All I remember was I got lots of hugs, kisses and belly rubs. I was a happy dog. That first night I was soooooooo scared, but that didn't last long. My mommy and daddy would take me for walks, and we would play in the house as well as in the BIG backyard. My favorite thing to do when they would go to work was find a way out of the kitchen. That is where I stay when they go to work. I would eat through the baby gates, jump over them if I could, knock them over. Anything I could do to get out. Then when I did get out, I would eat the carpet. I tore many holes in the carpet. Daddy was MAD. But they fixed that. They made it to where I could not get out of the baby gates. (Finally, Hudinni Dog was beat) As I got older I started to sleep alot more. Life around here is good. I get treats when I am good, and sometimes just because I am CUTE. :) Mom and Dad decided that I needed a new friend, so in October 2005 a little sister by the name of Zoe entered the house. At first, I was not so sure I wanted this little thing around. Now, she is my best friend and we do everything together. Including getting into trouble. We like to take daddy's socks and eat them. He gets mad, but can't stay mad at us because we look at him with our big sad eyes. (Got him right where we want him). We get to play in the backyard alot (but only if it is nice outside) otherwise we play in the house. So far I would say...I AM ONE LUCKY DOG!!!
