It has been a while so I thought I would write a bit. It has been so hot lately. This last weekend we actually got into the 90's. I know that may not be hot for some of you southern doggies, but here in Michigan, in May, it was hot. Mom took me and the kids out two days in a row and turned on this green snaky looking thing that spit COLD water on us. The kids loved it....me, not so much. I liked being cooler though. You would think that with the HUGE tongue God has given me I could pant better, but it just doesn't work well. I guess I will have to get used to the snaky thing...mom calls it a hose. The family went to the pool and went swimming. From what I can figure, it is like a big bathtub. I love the bathtub, I wish they would take me with them. They say pets aren't allowed so the left me in the house in the "a/c" whatever that is. I wasn't really IN anything, so I think they are a bit weird.

Mom keeps talking about going camping. I don't know what that is, but she says I will have my crate and my own tent. Sounds like we are moving cuz she keeps making lists of things we need to take like food and blankets and all our dishes...well so it sounds to me. I hope it will be as fun as mom says it will. She says they have a lake there that I can go to and swim. I don't know what swimming is and she says bulldogs sink like a stone so I guess it will be a learning experience. She is planning on keeping me on my leash and just getting into the....oh what did she call it....shallow end? I think that was it. Anyway, I hope it is as fun as she says it will be. :))

Well, time for my nap. I sleep a lot especially when it is so warm. I think I like the warm better than the cold though so I won't complain too much. :))

I hate the rain!!

What a nasty couple of days we have had. I hate the rain and it has been nothing but rainy and cold for two days now. Plus whenever I HAVE to go out to do my doo-ty, I have to get in my crate until I dry off. I don't like my crate that much. It keeps me away from the warm soft couch. If she would just let me dry off on the couch I would be so much happier! I think I am doing pretty good though considering I can't go for my walks with mom. She is a baby and won't walk in the rain. I can't say as I blame her, the rain is cold, but I wouldn't mind a short walk in it. She was nice to me yesterday though and let me stay outta my crate when she and Dad went to town. I slept on the brown couch and didn't chew on anything or mess on the floor. I was pretty proud of my self and I do believe Mom was proud too. Dad wasn't sure I would be good, so I was happy to prove him wrong.

I can't wait until this rain stops and we can go out and about again. :))

Guard Dog on Duty

I am such a GREAT guard dog! Mom let the kids go to their friends' house and I am sitting next to the door watching and waiting. I barked and barked and barked to get out after them but Mom put a gate across the door so she could keep the door open and get fresh air but not let us out. Us being me and Joule, the cat. I tried, but I am still in. I worry about those kids a lot more than she does I think....she trusts them to be outta my sight. I don't know about that. I will have to wait and see. :)

Back to watching now. :)
