HAPPY HALLOWEEN

WOW, mama has been busy on the computer and this is the first time I have been able to get to it when she doesn't need it!

Lots has been going on. I have been to the spa a few times, well at least that is what they call it. I do meet a lot of other dogs there and the special treat I get is a bath and some trimming from Gwen! I love her and she loves me. I guess the only problem I give her is when she clips around the exit hole, I tend to sit down. Do you really blame a guy for that?

Tomorrow is Halloween. I have been helping with decorations at the house. Mama has put all sots of stuff on me to figure out what I will be for Halloween. Guessing I will be a Devil or have a knife stuck in my head. That is what I have been wearing around the house. I am not a big fan of those things but my moms insist! Oh, well, it will be fun seeing all the kiddos!

Is it spring yet?

Sorry it has been a while since I had an entry. Mom has been so busy on the computer that I have not been able to sneak in the den and type on it! Oh well, pretty much nothing new has happened. My mom's went on a big ship and left me at the spa. Not a big deal although I do miss them when they leave but I always ge special treatment at the spa followed up with a trip to the tube for a bath and some hair clippings. I get extra attention when this happens! I was glad when they came home. The weather is strange here this time of year. It can be in the 40s one day then 12 or below zero the next. I am ready for spring to roll in the grass and lounge in my backyard!

Growling

Not much going on. My mom's have been busy doing all sorts of things at the house and traveling so I have been to the spa twice in September. The first time in September I chewed up my bed and the second time I was a good boy. They tell me that I will not have to go to the spa for a while but we will see....I think I will hold them to it!

Sad note. I see my sister Kiera lost one of her family recently. I am so sorry little sis! : ( I see you have a new member to your family who has yet to be named! You will ahve to write soon to let me know what the black furball is like!....kind of looks like us when we were little!

Crop Circles

The other day we got home from our clubhouse. My mom let me run in the backyard while she unloaded the truck. It had rained while we were gone and the grass was long but I still found some VERY FUN things to roll in. I was having so much fun rolling around and rolling around in the long grass. My mom came back out to get me and obviously had seen what I had been doing and then started to laugh...even though I was very smelly at this point...she said I was so talented that it looked like I had made what she called crop circles. Now I have no idea what they are but as long as she thought it was funny and was not mad at how bad I smelled it must have been good.

Fun weekend.....for me anyway!

Well, my moms were not happy with me all weekend. I have to say I had a good time although I do not like the NAUGHTY word which I hear a LOT this past weekend. First off we were at the clubhouse (grandma's townhouse). I LOVE being out on the patio basking in the shade and laying on the concrete protecting my moms from the EVIL CATS in the area. I was minding my own business and then decided I wanted to be inside so since my moms were out in the front yard and I was in the backyard I would take matters into my own paws and open the screen door myself which I thought was pretty ingenious at the time. There was already a hole there that my mom had patched twice already from me having fun with it. I just decided to make it much bigger so I plowed through it! I of course heard the "N" word and was religated to the inside for most of that afternoon. The next day I found some GREAT smelling stuff. I think it was EVIL CAT POO. I decided to roll in it and so I would smell great. Of course my mom's did not enjoy the smell as much as I did. Again I heard the "N" word. They tried to clean me up as good as they could with soap and water but in order for me to ride in the truck back home they wiped me down with Downey dryer sheets...UGH...you think the CAT POO smelled bad. This was much worse for me but we made it home and I smell better now...according to them!

Teeth cleaning and hair cut!

It is official. I am now over 50 pounds!! I went to the vet and got my teeth cleaned and of course since it is getting hot here in SD I got my hairs trimmed. They weighed me and I was 50.5 pounds!!! WHOOHOO!! Look out brother Hudson I am going to catch you!!...pretty sure my mom will not let me gain all that much more so I am guessing I won't catch you...I am still a big dog in my mind!!! I got a good report from the vet about my teeth and she even wrote a note about how sweet I am!!! I gave her a few extra kisses for her to write that to my moms!

In memory of Grandma Annabelle

I am sad to announce that my Grandma Annabelle has gone to live with God. She was such a great lady, even though she called me Bubba, I loved her very much and I know she loved me very much in return. I got to see her the sunday before she went to heaven and of course she petted me when I got up on the bed at the care center. Yes they let me in to visit which I loved but I didn't like the cats or the resident dog that lived there but the people were GREAT. Grandma was always good at slipping me human food from the table when my mom was not looking so I did hang pretty close to her. She tried to be so VERY sneaky but my mom always found out and of course grandma acted like nothing had happened....she was the best!!

Wisc. Trip

I forgot to write about my trip to Wisc! I had a blast!!! I got to ride on the pontoon boat, go to the sandbar and watch the sea gulls...just plain hang out!! I also did some swimming not much as I am just getting my feet wet so to speak! I met Jake a goldendoodle. He is nine months old and all legs!!! I played a little with him but I liked hanging on the dock and being with my people!

Grandma

My grandma has been staying with us for about two weeks now because she has not been feeling well. I love having her here. She gives me treats when my moms aren't looking. I keep her company during the day. She hardly knows I am around because I am such a GOOD BOY!

First Hair Cut

Well...my moms went on vacation and I went to the spa for the weekend. They told me I would be fine and that they love me and would see me in a few days. I love going to the spa but this time was different. The spa lady came to let me out of my kennel for my bath before going home but they cut my hairs also this time!!! I have been growing them out for 2 years and NOW they cut my hairs?!!! I have been used to having my toe hairs and ear hairs cut as any well groomed guy needs to have done but they trimmed up my chest, legs and even my BUTT!!!.......I do have to admit that it feels cooler for me since it is getting hot now in South Dakota but.....don't tell my moms!!............shhhh!!
