Hi pals,
It's been a loooong time since I've posted or even made any appearances. Please know that even though I've been MIA, I still love you all and the good times we've shared out here in "Doggie Cyberspace" ;) Today I was surprised with an honor of being chosen as the royal member of the day in PDPC group (that's Princess Divas and Prince Charmings). This was the first group that I joined when I first started on Dogster. Can you believe it will be 5 years ago in just another few weeks?! Thank you to all my pals. Miss you all and hope to come back and play with you again someday.

Woof!
Chester

Snow, snow, snow

Mother Nature has sure gotten us back for the nice weather we had in December. We've had snow almost every day since New Years Day. The weathermen are predicting 2 more storms for tonight through the weekend with about 6 inches more each time! We love the snow but we're getting tired of the white stuff already - and winter has just begun . Sugar and I miss our daily walks too. The sidewalks are just too icy and slippery. Hopefully next week will warm up a bit and some of this will melt. Until then, we sit warm and comfy in our favorite chair by the front window and watch the snow come down and down and down..........

The Rainbow Bridge has another angel

Yesterday was a sad day for Dogster. We learned that we lost our dear friend Noah. We've been saddened so many times the last few years with pals that have gone to the Bridge, but we felt a special friendship with Noah. He had his share of disabilities (he had diabetes and became blind) and overcame the hardship he endured before he was rescued by his faithfully devoted family. Noah and his brother Clay were some of the first dogs we became pals with almost 4 years ago. Noah was always there for everyone and we felt a special love for him. He was a Bichon like us and he loved to ride his daddy's Harley. His mom was devoted to him and to her we send the biggest Bichon hugs we can wrap around her. God bless you Noah. Your family gave you the final gift of love and released you from your suffering. We will miss you but know that you're riding that big Harley at the Bridge and able to see it now......

Until we meet one day we send you our love,
Chester and Sugar xoxo

Chester and Sugar have had a double honor bestowed on them this week. The BLC (Bichon Lover's Clubhouse) group honors a different dog each week and features photos on their main page. This week we're honored to be the first brother/sister chosen to be in the spotlight. WOW!!! We're so excited that we're off to do some serious Bichon blitzing. Zzooooom...........

Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted in my diary. You all know how it is when the pawrents just don't have the time like they used to. Yesterday was a big day for me and Sugar. We both went in to have our teeth cleaned. Of course I wasn't too happy in the morning when I couldn't have my breakfast - ggrrr - but I survived ;) I did really well and my teeth cleaned up beautifully - just like sparkling pearls. My teeth have always been pretty good and I'm a good chewer too. I was pretty sleepy last night and slept the whole night away in dreamland -zzzzzz First thing this morning I was bright eyed and bushy tailed and looking for my breakfast. Sugar wasn't as lucky as me and you can read about it in her diary. Have a great day pals. I'm off for a well deserved nap..........

An interesting walk

When the moms took me and Sugar for our walk last night, a policeman on a motorcycle pulled up along side us on the sidestreet. Both moms thought "uh -oh what did we do ?!" BOL!! The officer turned off his bike and said "Sorry for bothering you, but are those Bichons? My wife and I have one". Of course mom beemed with pride and said no problem - she loves talking Bichon :) The officer said his Bichon (named Elvis) even loves riding with him on his motorcycle. Aaaah us little balls of fluff - no wonder we get all the attention and get so many compliments too.

My new pals

I encountered two new friends on one of my recent walks. One of them was an older black lab who came right over to greet me. I'm usually a bit leery of bigger dogs, but this old girl was so nice to me that we were able to smell each other and say hello. The other friend was a black cat that came running down his driveway to meet me. Sugar wasn't too thrilled and barked, but I got "nose to nose" with the cat and even licked him. I usually bark at cats, but this guy was so friendly that we hit it off with each other. Maybe I'm mellowing with age - BOL!

The great white hunter

Well it's been quite a week. For awhile now I've been infatuated with smelling one corner of our deck. As soon as I run out I go right to that spot and don't leave it until I've smelled every inch of it. Mom thought maybe it was those darn chipmunks again, but then she noticed something - one of the boards below the deck had been pushed out every morning! Yikes -something's been living under the deck. Last week I really went crazy and started pawing really hard at the deck and barking like crazy. That critter was under there for sure. Well, that smart mom of mine had a plan. She put all kinds of rocks in front of the board, but every morning they were all pushed away. A few nights ago (after dark), Mom went out to check and the rocks were once again moved. Aha - the critter must have left for the night!! Mom moved all the rocks back and they haven't been disturbed since. I don't even seem to bother smelling that corner anymore either. Whew - what a relief for Mom!! It would have been pretty costly to have a pest conrol expert come out to trap whatever was under there. It must have been a racoon, since they're pretty strong and come out at night. Hopefully things are back to normal now - bol! I'm the hunter and Sugar doesn't even seem to care that an animal was under our deck. She's such a sweet girl. ;)

Hhhhrrrrrmph!!

Boy is my fur in a knot!!! Here's why......The moms took me and Sugar out for a nice evening walk. They decided to go down a new street for a change. It was a nice quiet street as we strolled along, sniffing a few trees and sidewalks. Well, as we passed one house a mean old man came out and started hollering at us as if we commited a crime to be on his sidewalk!!! Mom ALWAYS carries a bag in plain site and uses it when we do our duty. The man said that we weren't being courteous so Mom showed him the bag. Would you believe he had the nerve to say that the bag was "just for show but probably stunk"?!?!?!? Mom asked him if he wanted to see what was in it. Well, that got the old guy even madder and he said he was going to call the police. Mom laughed at him and said he was a jerk. We should have called the police to tell them that we were being harassed! BOL! What an experience. Seems like we're always the ones that get hollered at while we're never doing anything wrong. Oh well, looks like we're not going to walk on that street anymore :( That's ok, since there are lots of other trees and sidewalks to investigate.
