We have owned another retired racing greyhound (JCs Moon Magic) for almost three years. We thought it was time for a companion for her. So we went up to the Jacksonville (FL) Kennel Club, to see the Greyhounds as Pets (GAP) rescue group. We took Moon with us. Shirley and Cathy advised us to get a boy this time, as there would be less competition between the two dogs. The first two dogs we met were really sweet. But when they brought Indian out, Moon was so taken with him, that we decided to bring him home as Moon's new baby brother.
Indian "Dreampoint" raced at both the Jacksonville Kennel Club and the Orange Park Kennel Club. He was retired in November of 2005 after a 100-race career. Because he's full of personality, the owner and trainer knew he'd make a good pet. And they were right! Indy is the best 45 mile per hour couch potato ever!
Indian crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, May 7, 2011. R.I.P. my sweet boy.
