Arrival Story:
I was searching online for a hound dog for several months, unsuccessfully. One day, I came across his picture and went to see him at the dog shelter. All the other dogs in the shelter started barking when I entered the room, except for Victor (who had two names, Rocky and Comet - neither of which suited him). He just got up from the floor and started sniffing my hand. When I took him into a room, he started bouncing off the walls. Unfortunately, I couldn't adopt him that day due to an upcoming vacation. So placed him on the "do not destroy" list (can you believe they were going to euthinize him?) and went back 2 weeks later and rescued him. He has been the center of my life ever since.

Bio:
Victor was part of a news story about the bitter cold in NYC in 2003. He walks/jogs/runs in Central Park every morning before 9. He also frequents his country home on Long Island to visit his grandparents. Victor has a docked tail, but no one knows how that happened. He was brought in as a stray to the shelter. His name comes from the University of Michigan's fight song "Hail to the Victor's!"
