Hamish tagged me so I guess I have to play ;)

7 Interesting Things About Me:

1) My nickname is Eeyore because I like to put on my 'oh bother' face whenever I am bored, tired, hungry, breathing...

2) Every once in a while my mom does a pulse check because I am so mellow.

3) I was in training to be a guide dog until I was 20 months old, when I decided to go home and be a pet.

4) I still am an ambassador for my guide dog school, promoting our volunteer opportunities.

5) I HATE having my ears cleaned.

6) I love to steal my sister Irie's toys and hide behind the table so she can't get them back.

7) My favorite place to stay when my mom goes away is at my best bud, Farrell's house.

I won't tag anyone, but please feel free to participate!

Hope you all have a Happy Easter! Irie and I saw the Easter Bunny today. I kept myself composed, Irie, on the other hand, well she is still a puppy, so I will overlook her craziness...

Hi all-
Sarah just added a new pic of me. I am wearing my "Ambassador Vest." Now that I am out of training, I have taken on the job of representing GEB at Public Relations events. I am very good at it, if I do say so myself :)

Hi All-
I just had Mom add some new photos of me. I am growing up into a "dog" now, I'm not a puppy anymore. I wonder if that means I can't get away with stuff anymore...

Hi all-
Great news, I finally got a new friend!!! Her name is Irie and she is a 7-month old black lab. We got her about a month ago now and she is so much fun! I am not lonely anymore and I'm very happy that I don't have to deal with those puppy teeth with her :) This year we will both be celebrating our first Christmas at home! My very first Christmas, I was with my puppy starter, then last year I was still IFT, so this year I get to stay home and celebrate. This is good except for the photo shoot. Sarah decided to put hats and scarves on us and put us in front of the tree. Irie loves to have her picture taken, me-not so much. My new pic is of Irie trying to tell me it is a lot of fun...yeah, riiiiight.

Hi all-
For a while I was not lonely at all. Sarah decided to babysit a puppy from the GEB kennels whose raiser wasn't quite ready for her. Her name was Jean and she was a yellow lab just like me. We looked a lot alike and people asked if I was her dad! She was fun, although she did bite me which I didn't really like too much. Well, yesterday she went home and now I am lonely again. Oh well. Let's see what else has been happening. A couple of weeks ago GEB had their annual New Leash on Life Walkathon. I went and walked and had a great time. I walked with my best bud Farrell for the whole thing. We had a blast! This past weekend we went to a pumpkin festival to man the GEB display booth there. I was an excellent boy, as usual. Farrell was there too, so after, we walked back to his house and played with our other friend Hattie. I was so tired, but it was a lot of fun. I better go now, Enrico is here to play for a few hours so off I go!

Hi All-
Well, I think the title says it all. I am so lonely right now. Last week, the old lady, Belle, left for some place called the Rainbow Bridge. We all miss her very much. Then, this weekend, Diego went to the GEB kennels where I was for 6 months. Now, it's his turn to be a guide dog in training. We all love him and are proud of him, but boy am I lonesome! Tonight, a puppy in training, Bulova, is over for a playdate. When I first saw him, I thought it was Diego and I pulled all the way to him trying to greet him. When I got there, it wasn't my Diego, but we still had a good time playing. Hopefully a new pup will be in my near future!

Introduction

Hello All-
My name is Indiana. I am a 20 month old yellow labrador. Up until a few weeks ago, I was in training as a guide dog for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Sarah raised me since I was 6 months old. Before that, Catherine raised me. But, she had to give me up when her first pup became a brood for GEB. Can't have an intact male and female together now can we?!?! Anyway, back in September, I took this test called an IFT (In For Training) test. I passed with flying colors, so GEB wanted to use me as a stud. Well, I had some personal issues that I choose not to spread around, so I couldn't breed. GEB then sent me into training and chose my brother as the stud of the family. I tried my hardest for 6 months in training. But, I just was too sensitive and didn't have the confidence needed to guide a visually impaired person. So, I came home to Sarah! I love being here and my new job is to represent GEB as a canine ambassador and train my little buddy, Diego, how to be a good guide. I love being home but I do miss working a little. Sarah uses some of my guide dog commands with me so I can stay sharp if I ever do a demonstration or something, but it isn't the same. So, she takes me for walks and for rides in the car a lot. Check out Diego's page, if you get the chance!
