In Jan 2002 our beloved Anna (mixed breed - Black Lab/Blue Tick Hound) died at 10 1/2. Husband did research on breeds good for running companions and heard Welsh Terriers were good at running. Turns out he is not crazy about long distance running but he is improving in this area, but not the best. He is loved, though, except not by our 17+ yr old cat.
Bio:
Has a crooked tooth so could not be a show dog, so breeder was selling him.

Chico is over 7 now but still loves to play with other dogs. I try and take him to a Dog Day Care/Play place at least once every other week and he loves that. Even though he is a smallish dog he loves to play with the big guys - I think he intimidates the little yappy dogs.

I need to go play with some other dogs!! It has been awhile since I have done that. When my human family goes away, I usually go to a really great place where I can play with dogs all day long, and I am exhausted by bedtime. But the last time I did that was more than a month ago. Old Chloe the cat just wants to sleep. I am hoping my human mom will take me to the dog park this week. PLEASE
