Arrival Story:
We moved my older dog, Jeter, down last May when I moved out of the dorms and into an apartment. He had two other canine companions at home and quickly became depressed living here without them. I promised him I would search for a puppy that he could have for himself. I had often visited the pet shop at the mall and had fallen in love with the Cairns there. I decided they would make a good playmate for Jeter, but I would have to budget so I could afford one. I went right before Christmas expecting to buy a Cairn, but the only ones they had available were 3 months old and I really wanted a baby Cairn. I waited until January 30, when I was doing laundry near the mall and decided to go look at the puppies while waiting for my clothes to wash. I walked up to the display window, and there was my Toby sleeping alone in his cage (I have a thing for picking out the last of a litter.) I asked to play with him and he wasn't very energetic - all he wanted to do was cuddle up on my shoulder. I fell in love with him and the rest is history.

Mommy picked me up at 10 this morning from the doctor. They told her to try and keep me from barking or roughhousing, but the terrier in me is jsut so darn stubborn. I want to play with Jeter and run around and cause rukus. This is going to be hard...

I'm sick and staying at the doctor's til Monday. I climbed under Grandma's recliner and got my ribs squished so I am being supervised for a while. I am being a good and Brave boy, but I can't wait to get home to my Mom and Brother.
